¹⁴ Simeon hath declared, howe God first did visite the Gentiles, to take of them a people vnto his Name.

²¹ This people haue I formed for my selfe: they shall shewe foorth my praise.

¹¹ So shall my worde be, that goeth out of my mouth: it shall not returne vnto me voyde, but it shall accomplish that which I will, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. ¹² Therefore ye shall go out with ioy, and be led forth with peace: the mountaines and the hilles shall breake foorth before you into ioye, and all the trees of the fielde shall clap their handes. ¹³ For thornes there shall grow firre trees: for nettles shall growe the myrrhe tree, and it shalbe to the Lord for a name, and for an euerlasting signe that shall not be taken away.

⁶⁸ Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, because he hath visited and redeemed his people,

⁷⁸ Through ye tender mercy of our God, wherby the day spring from an hie hath visited vs,

³¹ Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people, ³² A light to be reueiled to the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

⁷ And when there had bene great disputation, Peter rose vp, and said vnto them, Ye men and brethren, ye know that a good while ago, among vs God chose out me, that the Gentiles by my mouth should heare the worde of the Gospel, and beleeue. ⁸ And God which knoweth the heartes, bare them witnesse, in giuing vnto them ye holy Ghost euen as he did vnto vs. ⁹ And he put no difference betweene vs and them, after that by faith he had purified their heartes.

⁵ By whom we haue receiued grace and Apostleship (that obedience might be giuen vnto ye faith) for his Name among al ye Gentiles,

³⁶ For of him, and through him, and for him are all things: to him be glory for euer. Amen.

⁹ But yee are a chosen generation, a royall Priesthoode, an holy nation, a people set at libertie, that yee shoulde shewe foorth the vertues of him that hath called you out of darkenesse into his marueilous light, ¹⁰ Which in time past were not a people, yet are nowe the people of God: which in time past were not vnder mercie, but nowe haue obteined mercie.
