³⁰ Then his seruants caryed him dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Ierusalem, and buried him in his owne sepulchre. And the people of the lande tooke Iehoahaz the sonne of Iosiah, and anointed him, and made him King in his fathers steade.

³³ And when the captaines of the charets saw that he was not the King of Israel, they turned backe from him. ³⁴ Then a certaine man drewe a bow mightily and smote the King of Israel betweene the ioyntes of his brigandine. ²⁴ So his seruants tooke him out of that charet, and put him in the seconde charet which he had, and when they had brought him to Ierusalem, he dyed, and was buryed in the sepulchres of his fathers: and all Iudah and Ierusalem mourned for Iosiah.
