remnant that resteth in ye curtaines of the couering, euen the halfe curtaine that resteth, shalbe left at the backeside of the Tabernacle, ¹³ That the cubite on the one side, and the cubite on the other side of that which is left in the legth of the curtaines of ye couering, may remaine on either side of the Tabernacle to couer it. ¹⁴ Moreouer, for that couering thou shalt make a couering of rammes skinnes died red, and a couering of badgers skinnes aboue. ¹⁵ Also thou shalt make boards for the Tabernacle of Shittim wood to stand vp. ¹⁶ Ten cubites shalbe the length of a boarde, and a ² In the first day of the first moneth in the very first of the same moneth shalt thou set vp the Tabernacle, called ye Tabernacle of the Congregation:

⁷ Then Nathan sayd to Dauid, Thou art the man. Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, I anoynted thee King ouer Israel, and deliuered thee out of the hand of Saul, ⁸ And gaue thee thy lordes house, and thy lords wiues into thy bosome, and gaue thee the house of Israel, and of Iudah, and would moreouer (if that had bene too litle) haue giuen thee such and such things.

⁵¹ He is the tower of saluation for his King, and sheweth mercie to his anointed, euen to Dauid, and to his seede for euer.

²⁵ So Dauid and the Elders of Israel and the captaines of thousandes went to bring vp the Arke of the couenant of the Lord from the house of Obed Edom with ioye. ²⁶ And because that God helped the Leuites that bare the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, they offered seuen bullockes and seuen rammes. ²⁷ And Dauid had on him a linen garment, as all the Leuites that bare the Arke, and the singers and Chenaniah that had the chiefe charge of the singers: and vpon Dauid was a linnen Ephod. ²⁸ Thus all Israel brought vp the Arke of the Lordes couenant with shouting and sounde of cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbales, making a sound with violes and with harpes.

³⁹ And Zadok the Priest and his brethren the Priestes were before the Tabernacle of ye Lord, in the hie place that was at Gibeon,

³¹ And these also cast lots with their brethren the sonnes of Aaron before King Dauid, and Zadok and Ahimelech and the chiefe fathers of the Priests, and of the Leuites, euen the chiefe of the families against their yonger brethren.

¹ The children of Israel also after their nomber, euen the chiefe fathers and captaines of thousandes and of hundreths, and their officers that serued the King by diuers courses, which came and in went out, moneth by moneth throughout al the moneths of the yeere: in euery course were foure and twentie thousand.

¹ Nowe Dauid assembled all the princes of Israel: the princes of the tribes, and the captaines of the bandes that serued the King, and the captaines of thousands and the captaines of hundreths, and the rulers of all the substance and possession of the King, and of his sonnes, with the eunuches, and the mightie, and all the men of power, vnto Ierusalem. ² And King Dauid stoode vp vpon his feete; and saide, Heare ye me, my brethren and my people: I purposed to haue buylt an house of rest for the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, and for a footestoole of our God, and haue made ready for the building,

⁵ So of all my sonnes (for the Lord hath giuen me many sonnes) he hath euen chosen Salomon my sonne to sit vpon the throne of the kingdome of the Lord ouer Israel. ⁶ And he sayd vnto me, Salomon thy sonne, he shall build mine house and my courtes: for I haue chosen him to be my sonne, and I will be his father. ⁷ I will stablish therefore his kingdome for euer, if he endeuour himselfe to do my commandements, and my iudgements, as this day.

¹ Moreouer Dauid the King sayde vnto all the Congregation, God hath chosen Salomon mine onely sonne yong and tender, and the worke is great: for this house is not for man, but for the Lord God.

¹⁷ I knowe also, my God, that thou tryest the heart, and hast pleasure in righteousnesse: I haue offred willingly in the vprightnesse of mine heart all these things: now also haue I seene thy people which are found here, to offer vnto thee willingly with ioy. ¹⁸ O Lord God of Abraham, Izhak and Israel our fathers, keepe this for euer in the purpose, and the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their hearts vnto thee.

²¹ And they offred sacrifices vnto the Lord, and on the morowe after that day, they offered burnt offrings vnto the Lord, euen a thousande yong bullocks, a thousand rammes and a thousand sheepe, with their drinke offrings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.

²³ So Salomon sate on the throne of the Lord, as King in steade of Dauid his father, and prospered: and all Israel obeyed him.

²⁵ And the Lord magnified Salomon in dignitie, in the sight of all Israel, and gaue him so glorious a kingdome, as no King had before him in Israel.

³ So Salomon and all the Congregation with him went to the hie place that was at Gibeon: for there was the Tabernacle of the Congregation of God which Moses the seruant of the Lord had made in the wildernesse.

¹² Wisdome and knowledge is granted vnto thee, and I will giue thee riches and treasures and honour, so that there hath not bene the like among the Kings which were before thee, neither after thee shall there be the like.

²² So King Salomon excelled all the Kings of the earth in riches and wisedome.

²⁵ And Salomon had foure thousand stalles of horses, and charets, and twelue thousand horsmen, whom he bestowed in the charet cities, and with the King at Ierusalem.

²⁷ And the King gaue siluer in Ierusalem, as stones, and gaue cedar trees as the wilde fig trees, that are aboundant in the plaine. ²⁸ And they brought vnto Salomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all landes.

²⁰ And Hezekiah the King rose early, and gathered the princes of the citie, and went vp to the house of the Lord.

² And the King and his princes and all the Congregation had taken counsel in Ierusalem to keepe the Passeouer in the second moneth.

²⁹ Then the King sent and gathered all the Elders of Iudah and Ierusalem. ³⁰ And the King went vp into the house of the Lord, and all the men of Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and the Priests and the Leuites, and all the people from the greatest to the smallest, and hee read in their eares all the wordes of the booke of the couenant that was found in the house of the Lord.

²⁴ Thou shalt lay vp golde for dust, and the gold of Ophir, as the flintes of the riuers. ²⁵ Yea, the Almightie shalbe thy defence, and thou shalt haue plentie of siluer.

¹³ For great is thy mercie toward me, and thou hast deliuered my soule from the lowest graue.

²⁰ I haue found Dauid my seruant: with mine holy oyle haue I anoynted him. ²¹ Therefore mine hande shall be established with him, and mine arme shall strengthen him. ²² The enemie shall not oppresse him, neither shall the wicked hurt him. ²³ But I will destroy his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him. ²⁴ My trueth also and my mercie shall be with him, and in my Name shall his horne be exalted. ²⁵ I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the floods. ²⁶ He shall cry vnto mee, Thou art my Father, my God and the rocke of my saluation. ²⁷ Also I wil make him my first borne, higher then the Kings of the earth. ²⁸ My mercie will I keepe for him for euermore, and my couenant shall stande fast with him.

³⁵ I haue sworne once by mine holines, that I will not fayle Dauid, saying, ³⁶ His seede shall endure for euer, and his throne shalbe as the sunne before me. ³⁷ He shalbe established for euermore as the moone, and as a faythfull witnes in the heauen. Selah.

⁴⁹ Lord, where are thy former mercies, which thou swarest vnto Dauid in thy trueth?

³⁴ Giue mee vnderstanding, and I will keepe thy Law: yea, I wil keepe it with my whole heart.

⁷³ IOD. Thine hands haue made me and fashioned me: giue mee vnderstanding therefore, that I may learne thy commandements.

⁵ Vntill I finde out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the mightie God of Iaakob. ⁶ Lo, we heard of it in Ephrathah, and found it in the fieldes of the forest.

¹¹ The Lord hath sworne in trueth vnto Dauid, and he wil not shrinke from it, saying, Of the fruite of thy body will I set vpon thy throne. ¹² If thy sonnes keepe my couenant, and my testimonies, that I shall teach them, their sonnes also shall sit vpon thy throne for euer.

² And cause thine eares to hearken vnto wisdome, and encline thine heart to vnderstanding, ³ (For if thou callest after knowledge, and cryest for vnderstanding: ⁴ If thou seekest her as siluer, and searchest for her as for treasures, ⁵ Then shalt thou vnderstand the feare of the Lord, and finde the knowledge of God. ⁶ For the Lord giueth wisdome, out of his mouth commeth knowledge and vnderstanding.

⁵ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and leane not vnto thine owne wisdome. ⁶ In all thy wayes acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy wayes.

¹³ Blessed is the man that findeth wisedome, and the man that getteth vnderstanding. ¹⁴ For the marchandise thereof is better then the marchandise of siluer, and the gaine thereof is better then golde. ¹⁵ It is more precious then pearles: and all things that thou canst desire, are not to be compared vnto her. ¹⁶ Length of dayes is in her right hand, and in her left hand riches and glory. ¹⁷ Her wayes are wayes of pleasure, and all her pathes prosperitie. ¹⁸ She is a tree of life to them that lay holde on her, and blessed is he that retaineth her.

⁷ Wisedome is the beginning: get wisedome therefore: and aboue all thy possession get vnderstanding.

⁸ The wisdome of ye prudent is to vnderstand his way: but the foolishnes of the fooles is deceite.

⁷ For as though he thought it in his heart, so will hee say vnto thee, Eate and drinke: but his heart is not with thee.

⁹ And I was great, and increased aboue all that were before me in Ierusalem: also my wisedome remained with me.

¹⁰ The brickes are fallen, but we will build it with hewen stones: the wilde figge trees are cut downe, but we will change them into ceders.

¹⁶ And Lebanon is not sufficient for fire, nor the beastes thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

³ Encline your eares, and come vnto me: heare, and your soule shall liue, and I will make an euerlasting couenant with you, euen the sure mercies of Dauid.

¹⁷ For brasse will I bring golde, and for yron will I bring siluer, and for wood brasse, and for stones yron. I will also make thy gouernement peace, and thine exactours righteousnesse.

¹⁴ Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no Prophet, neither was I a prophets sonne, but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of wilde figs.

³³ But seeke ye first the kingdome of God, and his righteousnesse, and all these things shall be ministred vnto you.

⁷ Aske, and it shall be giuen you: seeke, and ye shall finde: knocke, and it shall be opened vnto you. ⁸ For whosoeuer asketh, receiueth: and he, that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.

²⁰ Teaching them to obserue all things, whatsoeuer I haue commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, vntill the ende of the worlde, Amen.

³⁶ And he sayd vnto them, What would ye I should doe for you? ³⁷ And they said to him, Graunt vnto vs, that we may sit, one at thy right hand, and the other at thy left hand in thy glory.

⁵¹ And Iesus answered, and said vnto him, What wilt thou that I doe vnto thee? And the blinde sayd vnto him, Lord, that I may receiue sight.

²³ And in that day shall ye aske me nothing. Verely, verely I say vnto you, whatsoeuer ye shall aske the Father in my Name, he will giue it you.

⁴ Whiles it remained, appertained it not vnto thee? and after it was solde, was it not in thine owne power? howe is it that thou hast conceiued this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lyed vnto men, but vnto God.

¹⁶ To the one we are the sauour of death, vnto death, and to the other the sauour of life, vnto life: and who is sufficient for these things?

⁵ Not that we are sufficient of our selues, to thinke any thing, as of our selues: but our sufficiencie is of God,

²⁰ Vnto him therefore that is able to do exceeding aboundantly aboue all that we aske or thinke, according to the power that worketh in vs,

⁹ Wherefore God hath also highly exalted him, and giuen him a Name aboue euery name, ¹⁰ That at the Name of Iesus shoulde euery knee bowe, both of things in heauen, and things in earth, and things vnder the earth, ¹¹ And that euery tongue shoulde confesse that Iesus Christ is the Lord, vnto the glory of God the Father.

¹² For the worde of God is liuely, and mightie in operation, and sharper then any two edged sword, and entreth through, euen vnto the diuiding asunder of the soule and the spirit, and of the ioints, and the marow, and is a discerner of the thoughtes, and the intents of the heart.

⁵ If any of you lacke wisedome, let him aske of God, which giueth to all men liberally, and reprocheth no man, and it shalbe giuen him.

¹³ Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew by good conuersation his workes in meekenesse of wisdome.

¹⁷ But the wisedome that is from aboue, is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easie to be intreated, full of mercie and good fruites, without iudging, and without hipocrisie.

¹⁴ And this is that assurance, that we haue in him, that if we aske any thing according to his will, he heareth vs. ¹⁵ And if we know that he heareth vs, whatsoeuer we aske, we know that we haue the petitions, that we haue desired of him.
