⁹ Knowing this, that the Lawe is not giuen vnto a righteous man, but vnto the lawles and disobedient, to the vngodly, and to sinners, to the vnholy, and to the prophane, to murtherers of fathers and mothers, to manslayers,

⁵ For surely I will require your blood, wherein your liues are: at the hand of euery beast will I require it: and at the hand of man, euen at the hand of a mans brother will I require the life of man. ⁶ Who so sheadeth mans blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God hath he made man.

¹³ Thou shalt not kill.

¹⁴ But if a man come presumptuously vpon his neighbour to slay him with guile, thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.

⁹ If there be any that curseth his father or his mother, he shall die the death: seeing hee hath cursed his father and his mother, his blood shalbe vpon him.

³⁰ Whosoeuer killeth any person, the Iudge shall slay the murtherer, through witnesses: but one witnesse shall not testifie against a person to cause him to die. ³¹ Moreouer ye shall take no recompense for the life of the murtherer, which is worthy to die: but he shalbe put to death. ³² Also ye shall take no recompense for him that is fled to the citie of his refuge, that he should come againe, and dwell in the lande, before the death of the hie Priest. ³³ So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye shall dwell: for blood defileth the land: and the land cannot be clensed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.

⁶ And all the Elders of that citie that came neere to the slayne man, shall wash their hands ouer the heifer that is beheaded in the valley: ⁷ And shall testifie, and say, Our handes haue not shed this blood, neither haue our eies seene it. ⁸ O Lord, be mercifull vnto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay no innocent blood to the charge of thy people Israel, and the blood shalbe forgiuen them. ⁹ So shalt thou take away the cry of innocet blood from thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the Lord.

¹⁶ Cursed be he that curseth his father and his mother: And all the people shall say: So be it.

¹¹ And Dauid sayd to Abishai, and to all his seruants, Beholde, my sonne which came out of mine owne bowels, seeketh my life: then howe much more now may this sonne of Iemini? Suffer him to curse: for the Lord hath bidden him.

²⁰ He that curseth his father or his mother, his light shalbe put out in obscure darkenes.

¹⁷ A man that doeth violence against the blood of a person, shall flee vnto the graue, and they shall not stay him.

²⁴ Hee that robbeth his father and mother, and sayth, It is no transgression, is the companion of a man that destroyeth.

¹¹ There is a generation that curseth their father, and doeth not blesse their mother.

¹⁷ The eye that mocketh his father and despiseth the instruction of his mother, let ye rauens of the valley picke it out, and the yong eagles eate it.

¹¹ For both the prophet and the Priest doe wickedly: and their wickednesse haue I found in mine House, saith the Lord.

²⁵ And thou prince of Israel polluted, and wicked, whose day is come, when iniquitie shall haue an ende,

²¹ And the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the sonne, and the children shall rise against their parents, and shall cause them to die.

³⁰ Backbiters, haters of God, doers of wrong, proude, boasters, inuenters of euil things, disobedient to parents, without vnderstanding, couenant breakers, without naturall affection, such as can neuer be appeased, mercilesse.

¹³ For the promise that he should be the heire of the worlde, was not giuen to Abraham, or to his seede, through the Lawe, but through the righteousnesse of faith.

²⁰ Moreouer the Law entred thereupon that the offence shoulde abound: neuerthelesse, where sinne abounded, there grace abounded much more:

¹⁴ For sinne shall not haue dominion ouer you: for ye are not vnder ye Lawe, but vnder grace.

¹⁰ For as many as are of the workes of the Lawe, are vnder the curse: for it is written, Cursed is euery man that continueth not in all things, which are written in the booke of the Law, to doe them. ¹¹ And that no man is iustified by the Law in the sight of God, it is euident: for the iust shall liue by faith. ¹² And the Lawe is not of faith: but the man that shall doe those things, shall liue in them. ¹³ Christ hath redeemed vs from the curse of the Lawe, made a curse for vs, (for it is written, Cursed is euery one that hangeth on tree) ¹⁴ That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Iesus, that wee might receiue the promise of the Spirite through faith.

¹⁹ Wherefore then serueth the Law? It was added because of the transgressions, til the seed came, vnto the which the promise was made: and it was ordeined by Angels in the hande of a Mediatour.

²¹ Enuie, murthers, drunkennesse, gluttonie, and such like, whereof I tell you before, as I also haue tolde you before, that they which doe such things, shall not inherite the kingdome of God.

²³ Meekenesse, temperancie: against such there is no lawe.

⁸ And then shall that wicked man be reueiled, whome the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of his mouth, and shall abolish with the brightnes of his comming,

¹⁶ They professe that they know God, but by works they deny him, and are abominable and disobedient, and vnto euery good worke reprobate.

³ For wee our selues also were in times past vnwise, disobedient, deceiued, seruing the lustes and diuers pleasures, liuing in maliciousnes and enuie, hatefull, and hating one another:

³¹ By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them which obeyed not, when she had receiued the spies peaceably.

¹⁶ Let there be no fornicator, or prophane person as Esau, which for one portion of meate solde his birthright.

⁷ Vnto you therefore which beleeue, it is precious: but vnto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

²⁰ Which were in time passed disobedient, when once the long suffering of God abode in the dayes of Noe, while the Arke was preparing, wherein fewe, that is, eight soules were saued in the water.

¹⁸ And if the righteous scarcely bee saued, where shall the vngodly and the sinner appeare?

⁸ But the fearful and vnbeleeuing, and the abominable and murtherers, and whoremogers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall haue their part in the lake, which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

¹⁵ For without shall be dogs and inchanters, and whoremongers, and murtherers, and idolaters, and whosoeuer loueth or maketh lies.
