¹ Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. ¶ I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

³¹ For he was wiser than all men, than Ethan, the Ezrahite, and Heman and Chalcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and he was named in all nations round about.

⁶ And the sons of Zerah: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara, five of them in all.

⁵ ¶ Thy mercy, O LORD, reaches unto the heavens, and thy truth reaches unto the clouds.

⁹ I have preached righteousness in the great congregation; behold, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest. ¹⁰ I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy truth and thy salvation; I have not concealed thy mercy and thy truth from the great congregation.

¹⁶ But I will sing of thy power; I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning, for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.

⁸ Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy glory all the day.

¹⁵ My mouth shall show forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day, for I know not the numbers thereof. ¹⁶ I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only. ¹⁷ O God, thou hast taught me from my youth and until now; I shall manifest thy wondrous works. ¹⁸ Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not until I have showed the strength of thy arm unto the next generation and thy power to every one that is to come, ¹⁹ and thy righteousness, O God, unto excellence because thou hast done great things; O God, who is like unto thee!

¹² I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify thy name for evermore. ¹³ For great is thy mercy upon me, and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest part of Sheol.

¹¹ Shall thy mercy be declared in the grave? or thy truth in hell?

⁴ Thy seed will I establish for ever and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah. ⁵ ¶ And the heavens shall praise thy wonder, O LORD, thy truth also in the congregation of the saints.

⁸ O LORD God of the hosts, who is like unto thee? Strong JAH, compassed about with thy truth.

²⁴ But my truth and my mercy shall be with him, and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

³³ Nevertheless I will not take my mercy from him, neither will I falsify my truth.

⁴⁹ Lord, where are thy former mercies, which thou didst sware unto David in thy truth?
