²⁴ And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou and Aaron with thee, but let not the priests and the people break through the bounds to come up unto the LORD lest he break forth upon them.

¹² And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves that ye go not up into the mount or touch the border of it; whoever touches the mount shall surely die:

²¹ And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people lest they break through the bounds to gaze upon the LORD, and many of them perish. ²² And also let the priests who come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves lest the LORD break forth upon them.

¹ ¶ And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship afar off.

⁹ ¶ Then Moses and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu and seventy of the elders of Israel went up,

¹² From the days of John the Baptist until now, life is given unto the kingdom of the heavens, and the valiant take hold of it.

²⁴ Strive to enter in at the narrow gate; for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in and shall not be able.

¹⁶ The law and the prophets were until John; since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and whosoever will presses into it.

¹⁷ For the law was given through Moses, but the grace and the truth of God came through Jesus, the Christ.

¹⁵ because the law works wrath; for where there is no law, there is no rebellion either.

⁷ But if the ministry of death in the letter engraved in stones was glorious, so that the sons of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance which glory was to fade away, ⁸ How shall not the ministry of the Spirit be for greater glory? ⁹ For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, much more shall the ministry of righteousness abound in glory. ¹⁰ For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed is every one that continues not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. ¹¹ But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident, for The just shall live by faith.

¹⁹ ¶ For what then serves the law? It was added because of rebellions until the seed should come to whom the promise was made, and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

²² But the scripture has concluded all under sin that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to the believers.

¹⁶ Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of his grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

¹⁹ ¶ Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; ²¹ and having that great priest over the house of God, ²² let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts purified from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water;

¹⁸ ¶ For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched and that burned with fire nor unto blackness and darkness and tempest ¹⁹ and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, which voice those that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more; ²⁰ (for they could not endure that which was commanded, and if so much as a beast should touch the mountain, it shall be stoned or thrust through with a dart: ²¹ and so terrible was the sight that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake); ²² but ye are come unto Mount Sion and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, ²³ to the congregation of the called out ones of the firstborn, who are registered in the heavens and to God the Judge of all and to the spirits of just men made perfect ²⁴ and to Jesus, the mediator of the new testament and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better than that of Abel. ²⁵ See that you do not refuse him that speaks. For if those who refused him that spoke on earth did not escape, much less shall we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from the heavens,

²⁹ for our God is a consuming fire.
