¹³ And he carried out of there all the treasures of the house of the LORD and the treasures of the king’s house and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon, king of Israel, had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.

⁴⁸ ¶ And Solomon made all the vessels that pertained unto the house of the LORD: an altar of gold, and a table upon which the showbread was, also of gold, ⁴⁹ and the lampstands of pure gold, five on the right hand, and five on the left, in front of the oracle, with the flowers and the lamps and the tongs of gold, ⁵⁰ likewise the bowls and the snuffers and the basins and the spoons and the censers of pure gold, also the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the inner house, the holy of holies, and for the doors of the house of the temple.

¹⁷ Behold, the days come that all that is in thy house and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day shall be carried into Babylon; nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.

¹³ And the Chaldees broke in pieces the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD and the bases and the brasen sea that was in the house of the LORD and carried the brass of them to Babylon. ¹⁴ They also took away the pots and the shovels and the snuffers and the spoons and all the vessels of brass, with which they ministered. ¹⁵ And the censers and the bowls and such things as were of gold in gold and of silver in silver the captain of the guard took away, also

⁷ And he made ten lampstands of gold according to their form, and set them in the temple, five on the right hand, and five on the left. ⁸ He also made ten tables and placed them in the temple, five on the right hand and five on the left. And he made one hundred basins of gold. ⁹ Furthermore, he made the court of the priests and the great court and doors for the court and overlaid the doors of them with brass. ¹⁰ And he set the sea on the right side towards the east, over against the Negev. ¹¹ ¶ And Hiram made the pots and the shovels and the basins. And Hiram finished the work, that he had been making for King Solomon for the house of God, ¹² Two pillars and the pommels and the chapiters, which were on the top of the two pillars, and the two networks to cover the two pommels of the chapiters which were on the top of the pillars; ¹³ four hundred pomegranates on the two networks; two orders of pomegranates on each network, to cover the two pommels of the chapiters which were upon the pillars. ¹⁴ He also made the bases upon which he placed the lavers; ¹⁵ one sea, and twelve oxen under it; ¹⁶ and the pots and the shovels and the fleshhooks and all their vessels, did Hiram, his father, make to King Solomon for the house of the LORD of the purest brass. ¹⁷ In the plain of the Jordan did the king cast them, in clay of the ground, between Succoth and Zeredathah. ¹⁸ Thus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance, for the weight of the brass could not be found out. ¹⁹ And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables upon which the showbread was set; ²⁰ likewise, the lampstands with their lamps, that they should burn according to the ordinance before the oracle, of pure gold; ²¹ and the flowers and the lamps and the tongs, he made of gold, of perfect gold; ²² also the snuffers and the basins and the spoons and the censers, of pure gold. Regarding the entry of the house, its inner doors for the most holy place and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.

⁷ Also Cyrus, the king, brought forth the vessels of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem and had put them in the house of his god. ⁸ Even those did Cyrus, king of Persia, bring forth by the hand of Mithredath, the treasurer, and numbered them unto Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah. ⁹ And this is the number of them: thirty chargers of gold, a thousand chargers of silver, twenty-nine knives, ¹⁰ thirty basins of gold, silver basons of a second sort four hundred and ten, and another thousand vessels. ¹¹ All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand four hundred. All these did Sheshbazzar cause to be brought up with those that came up from the captivity of Babylon unto Jerusalem.

⁶ Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.

⁵ Moreover I will deliver all the strength of this city and all its labours and all its precious things and all the treasures of the kings of Judah I will give into the hand of their enemies, who shall spoil them and take them and carry them to Babylon.

¹⁶ Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus hath the LORD said: Hearken not unto the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie unto you. ¹⁷ Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon and live: why should this city be laid waste? ¹⁸ But if they are prophets, and if the word of the LORD is with them, let them pray now unto the LORD of the hosts that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD and in the house of the king of Judah and at Jerusalem, not go to Babylon. ¹⁹ For thus hath the LORD of the hosts said concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city, ²⁰ which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon did not take, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem; ²¹ yea, thus hath the LORD of the hosts the God of Israel said concerning the vessels that remained in the house of the LORD and in the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem;

³ Within two full years I will bring again into this place all the vessels of the LORD’s house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place and carried them to Babylon: ⁴ and I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, saith the LORD; for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

⁶ therefore the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD confirm thy words with which thou hast prophesied that the vessels of the LORD’s house and all those that are carried away captive are to be returned from Babylon unto this place.

² Belshazzar, under the influence of the wine, commanded that they bring the vessels of gold and of silver which Nebuchadnezzar his father had brought from the temple of Jerusalem; that the king and his princes, his wives and his concubines, might drink with them. ³ Then they brought the vessels of gold that they had brought from the temple of the house of God which was in Jerusalem; and the king and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank with them.
