¹¹ And such were some of you, but now ye are washed, but now ye are sanctified, but now ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God.

² Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

⁷ ¶ Remove the sin in me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

¹² There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

¹⁶ ¶ Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil;

²⁵ In the LORD shall all the generation of Israel be justified and shall glory.

¹¹ He shall see of the travail of his soul and shall be satisfied. And by his knowledge shall my righteous slave justify many, for he shall bear their iniquities.

¹⁴ O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness that thou may be saved. How long shalt thou entertain the thoughts of thy iniquity within thee?

²⁵ ¶ And I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be cleansed from all your filthiness, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.

¹⁴ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for anyone that exalts himself shall be humbled, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

¹⁰ Jesus said to him, He that is washed needs only to wash his feet because he is completely clean, and ye are clean, but not all.

³⁹ and in him all that believe are justified from all the things from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

¹⁶ And now why tarriest thou? Arise and be baptized and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

¹⁸ to open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive remission of sins and inheritance among those who are sanctified by the faith that is in me.

²⁴ being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Jesus, the Christ,

²⁶ manifesting in this time his righteousness that he only be the just one and the justifier of him that is of the faith of Jesus. ²⁷ Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? No, but by the law of faith. ²⁸ Therefore, we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. ²⁹ Is he the God of the Jews only? Is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also, ³⁰ seeing it is one God who shall justify the circumcision by faith and the uncircumcision by faith.

⁵ But to him that does not work, but believes in him that justifies the ungodly, the faith is counted as righteousness.

¹ ¶ Justified therefore by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus, the Christ,

⁹ Then much more now justified in his blood, we shall be saved from wrath by him.

¹⁷ Thank God that, although ye were the slaves of sin, ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine unto which ye are delivered; ¹⁸ and freed from sin, ye are become the slaves of righteousness. ¹⁹ I speak a human thing because of the weakness of our flesh: that as ye presented your members to serve uncleanness and iniquity unto iniquity, likewise now present your members to serve righteousness unto holiness.

³⁰ And unto those whom he did mark out beforehand the way, to these he also called; and to whom he called, these he also justified; and to whom he justified, these he also glorified.

³³ Who shall accuse the chosen of God’s? God is he that justifies them.

² unto the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of God which is at Corinth, to those that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be holy, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

³⁰ But of him ye are reborn in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

² Ye know that when ye were Gentiles, ye went, even as ye were led, unto the dumb idols.

¹⁶ knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

⁸ And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles through faith, evangelized Abraham in advance, saying, In thee shall all the Gentiles be blessed.

¹¹ But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident, for The just shall live by faith.

²⁴ Therefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is this: Charity, joy, peace, tolerance, gentleness, goodness, faith, ²³ meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

¹ ¶ And he has made you alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, ² in which in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the will of the prince of the power of this air, the spirit that now works in the sons of disobedience, ³ among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind and were by nature the children of wrath, even as all the others.

¹⁷ ¶ This I say, therefore, and require in the Lord that from now on ye not walk as the other Gentiles walk in the vanity of their own senses, ¹⁸ having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them because of the blindness of their heart, ¹⁹ who, after losing all sense of feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness to work all uncleanness with greediness. ²⁰ But ye have not so learned of the Christ, ²¹ if so be that ye have heard him and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus, ²² that ye put off everything concerning the old way of life, that is, the old man who corrupts himself according to deceitful desires,

⁸ For in another time ye were darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord: walk as children of light;

²⁶ that he might sanctify and cleanse her in the washing of water by the word,

⁵ ¶ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil lust, and covetousness, which is idolatry; ⁶ for which things’ sake the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience, ⁷ in which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

¹³ ¶ But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to saving health through the sanctification of the Spirit and faith in the truth,

³ For we ourselves also were foolish in another time, rebellious, deceived, serving diverse lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. ⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, ⁵ not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ which he poured out abundantly in us through Jesus, the Christ, our Saviour; ⁷ that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

¹¹ For both he that sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all of one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

²² let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts purified from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water;

²¹ Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered his son Isaac upon the altar? ²² Dost thou not see how the faith worked together with his works, and the faith was complete by the works? ²³ And that the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness, and he was called the Friend of God. ²⁴ Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith. ²⁵ Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? ²⁶ For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

² chosen (according to the foreknowledge of God the Father) in sanctification of the Spirit, to obey and be sprinkled with the blood of Jesus, the Christ, Grace and peace, be multiplied unto you.

²² Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth, by the Spirit, in unfeigned brotherly love, love one another with a pure heart fervently,

²¹ ¶ Unto the figure of which the baptism that does now correspond saves us (not taking away the uncleanness of the flesh, but giving testimony of a good conscience before God) by the resurrection of Jesus, the Christ,

² so that now the time that remains in the flesh, he might live, not unto the lusts of men, but unto the will of God. ³ For it should suffice us that during the time past of our life we had done the will of the Gentiles, when we conversed in lasciviousness, lusts, drunkenness, gluttony, orgies, and abominable idolatries.

⁵ and from Jesus, the Christ, who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins with his own blood

¹⁴ And I said unto him, lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are those who came out of great tribulation and have washed their long robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
