¹⁴ Wherefore, dearly beloved, waiting for these things, be diligent that you may be found before him unspotted and blameless in peace.

²⁶ If therefore they shall say to you, Behold he is in the desert: go ye not out. Behold he is in the closets: believe it not.

²⁹ Now thou dost dismiss thy servant, O Lord, according to thy word in peace:

⁴³ Blessed is that servant whom, when his lord shall come, he shall find so doing.

⁸ Who also will confirm you unto the end without crime, in the days of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁵⁸ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast and unmoveable: always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

¹⁰ That you may approve the better things: that you may be sincere and without offence unto the day of Christ:

¹⁵ That you may be blameless and sincere children of God, without reproof, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation: among whom you shine as lights in the world.

²⁰ But our conversation is in heaven: from whence also we look for the Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹³ To confirm your hearts without blame, in holiness, before God and our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, with all his saints. Amen.

²³ And may the God of peace himself sanctify you in all things: that your whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless in the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁸ So also Christ was offered once to exhaust the sins of many. The second time he shall appear without sin to them that expect him unto salvation.

²⁷ Religion clean and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation and to keep one's self unspotted from this world.

⁵ And you, employing all care, minister in your faith, virtue: And in virtue, knowledge: ⁶ And in knowledge, abstinence: and in abstinence, patience: and in patience, godliness: ⁷ And in godliness, love of brotherhood: and in love of brotherhood, charity. ⁸ For if these things be with you and abound, they will make you to be neither empty nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹ For he that hath not these things with him is blind and groping, having forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. ¹⁰ Wherefore, brethren, labour the more, that by good works you may make sure your calling and election. For doing these things, you shall not sin at any time.

³ And every one that hath this hope in him sanctifieth himself, as he also is holy.
