²⁷ If any of them that believe not, invite you, and you be willing to go: eat of any thing that is set before you, asking no question for conscience' sake.

²⁹ And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: And there was a great company of publicans and of others that were at table with them. ³⁰ But the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying to his disciples: Why do you eat and drink with publicans and sinners?

⁷ And in the same house, remain, eating and drinking such things as they have: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Remove not from house to house. ⁸ And into what city soever you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you.

²³ And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it: and let us eat and make merry:

⁷ And when all saw it, they murmured, saying, that he was gone to be a guest with a man that was a sinner.

⁹ I wrote to you in an epistle not to keep company with fornicators. ¹⁰ I mean not with the fornicators of this world or with the covetous or the extortioners or the servers of idols: otherwise you must needs go out of this world. ¹¹ But now I have written to you, not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator or covetous or a server of idols or a railer or a drunkard or an extortioner: with such a one, not so much as to eat.

²⁵ Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, eat: asking no question for conscience' sake.

¹³ For we write no other things to you than what you have read and known. And I hope that you shall know unto the end.

² But we renounce the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness nor adulterating the word of God: but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience, in the sight of God.

¹¹ Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we use persuasion to men: but to God we are manifest. And I trust also that in your consciences we are manifest.
