²⁸ for we reckon that a man is justified by faith, without works of law.

¹⁴ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, thus must the Son of man be lifted up, ¹⁵ that every one who believes on him may [not perish, but] have life eternal. ¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him may not perish, but have life eternal. ¹⁷ For God has not sent his Son into the world that he may judge the world, but that the world may be saved through him. ¹⁸ He that believes on him is not judged: but he that believes not has been already judged, because he has not believed on the name of the only-begotten Son of God.

²⁴ Verily, verily, I say unto you, that he that hears my word, and believes him that has sent me, has life eternal, and does not come into judgment, but is passed out of death into life.

⁴⁰ For this is the will of my Father, that every one who sees the Son, and believes on him, should have life eternal; and I will raise him up at the last day.

³⁸ Be it known unto you, therefore, brethren, that through this man remission of sins is preached to you, ³⁹ and from all things from which ye could not be justified in the law of Moses, in him every one that believes is justified.

²⁰ Wherefore by works of law no flesh shall be justified before him; for by law [is] knowledge of sin. ²¹ But now without law righteousness of God is manifested, borne witness to by the law and the prophets; ²² righteousness of God by faith of Jesus Christ towards all, and upon all those who believe: for there is no difference;

²⁶ for [the] shewing forth of his righteousness in the present time, so that he should be just, and justify him that is of [the] faith of Jesus.

⁵ but to him who does not work, but believes on him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned as righteousness.

¹ Therefore having been justified on the principle of faith, we have peace towards God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

³ For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, having sent his own Son, in likeness of flesh of sin, and for sin, has condemned sin in the flesh,

¹¹ And these things were some of you; but ye have been washed, but ye have been sanctified, but ye have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

¹⁶ but knowing that a man is not justified on the principle of works of law [nor] but by the faith of Jesus Christ, *we* also have believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be justified on the principle of [the] faith of Christ; and not of works of law; because on the principle of works of law no flesh shall be justified.

⁸ and the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the nations on the principle of faith, announced beforehand the glad tidings to Abraham: In thee all the nations shall be blessed.

¹¹ but that by law no one is justified with God [is] evident, because The just shall live on the principle of faith; ¹² but the law is not on the principle of faith; but, He that shall have done these things shall live by them. ¹³ Christ has redeemed us out of the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, (for it is written, Cursed [is] every one hanged upon a tree,) ¹⁴ that the blessing of Abraham might come to the nations in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

²⁴ So that the law has been our tutor up to Christ, that we might be justified on the principle of faith.

⁹ not on the principle of works, that no one might boast.

⁹ and that I may be found in him, not having my righteousness, which [would be] on the principle of law, but that which is by faith of Christ, the righteousness which [is] of God through faith,

⁷ that, having been justified by *his* grace, we should become heirs according to [the] hope of eternal life.

²⁴ Ye see that a man is justified on the principle of works, and not on the principle of faith only.
