⁷ The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple;

⁶ And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thy heart; ⁷ and thou shalt impress them on thy sons, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou goest on the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. ⁸ And thou shalt bind them for a sign on thy hand, and they shall be for frontlets between thine eyes. ⁹ And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and upon thy gates.

¹⁸ And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests, the Levites; ¹⁹ and it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life; that he may learn to fear Jehovah his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them; ²⁰ that his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left; that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his sons, in the midst of Israel.

⁴ [He is] the Rock, his work is perfect, For all his ways are righteousness; A ?God of faithfulness without deceit, Just and right is he.

⁵ Although my house be not so before ?God, Yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, Ordered in every way and sure; For [this is] all my salvation, and every desire, Although he make [it] not to grow.

¹² Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have laid up the words of his mouth more than the purpose of my own heart.

³⁰ As for ?God, his way is perfect; the word of Jehovah is tried: he is a shield to all that trust in him.

³ He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in paths of righteousness for his name`s sake.

¹ {An instruction. Of Asaph.} Give ear, O my people, to my law; incline your ears to the words of my mouth. ² I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter riddles from of old, ³ Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us: ⁴ We will not hide [them] from their sons, shewing forth to the generation to come the praises of Jehovah, and his strength, and his marvellous works which he hath done. ⁵ For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children; ⁶ That the generation to come might know [them], the children that should be born; that they might rise up and tell [them] to their children, ⁷ And that they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of ?God, but observe his commandments;

⁵ Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thy house, O Jehovah, for ever.

⁷ The works of his hands are truth and judgment; all his precepts are faithful:

⁹ BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his path? by taking heed according to thy word.

¹⁴ I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as [much as] in all wealth.

²⁴ Thy testimonies also are my delight [and] my counsellors.

⁷² The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

⁹⁶ I have seen an end of all perfection: thy commandment is exceeding broad. ⁹⁷ MEM. Oh how I love thy law! it is my meditation all the day. ⁹⁸ Thy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies; for they are ever with me. ⁹⁹ I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my meditation. ¹⁰⁰ I understand more than the aged, because I have observed thy precepts.

¹⁰⁵ NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

¹¹¹ Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever; for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

¹²⁷ Therefore I love thy commandments above gold, yea, above fine gold. ¹²⁸ Therefore I regard all [thy] precepts concerning all things to be right: I hate every false path.

¹³⁰ The entrance of thy words giveth light, giving understanding unto the simple.

¹⁵² From thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

¹⁹ He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. ²⁰ He hath not dealt thus with any nation; and as for [his] judgments, they have not known them. Hallelujah!

⁴ to give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

²² How long, simple ones, will ye love simpleness, and scorners take pleasure in their scorning, and the foolish hate knowledge? ²³ Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour forth my spirit unto you, I will make known to you my words.

¹⁶ Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

²⁰ To the law and the testimony! If they speak not according to this word, for them there is no daybreak.

³² [and] what he has seen and has heard, this he testifies; and no one receives his testimony. ³³ He that has received his testimony has set to his seal that God is true;

³⁹ Ye search the scriptures, for ye think that in them ye have life eternal, and they it is which bear witness concerning me;

⁴³ To him all the prophets bear witness that every one that believes on him will receive through his name remission of sins.

² Much every way: and first, indeed, that to them were entrusted the oracles of God.

² And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of [your] mind, that ye may prove what [is] the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

⁴ For as many things as have been written before have been written for our instruction, that through endurance and through encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.

¹⁶ Let the word of the Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another, in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.

⁸ Be not therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner; but suffer evil along with the glad tidings, according to the power of God;

¹⁹ Yet the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, [The] Lord knows those that are his; and, Let every one who names the name of [the] Lord withdraw from iniquity.

¹⁵ and that from a child thou hast known the sacred letters, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through faith which [is] in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ Every scripture [is] divinely inspired, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; ¹⁷ that the man of God may be complete, fully fitted to every good work.

¹⁸ that by two unchangeable things, in which [it was] impossible that God should lie, we might have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us, ¹⁹ which we have as anchor of the soul, both secure and firm, and entering into that within the veil,

¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift comes down from above, from the Father of lights, with whom is no variation nor shadow of turning.

²¹ Wherefore, laying aside all filthiness and abounding of wickedness, accept with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. ²² But be ye doers of [the] word and not hearers only, beguiling yourselves. ²³ For if any man be a hearer of [the] word and not a doer, *he* is like to a man considering his natural face in a mirror: ²⁴ for he has considered himself and is gone away, and straightway he has forgotten what he was like. ²⁵ But *he* that fixes his view on [the] perfect law, that of liberty, and abides in [it], being not a forgetful hearer but a doer of [the] work, *he* shall be blessed in his doing.

⁹ If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater. For this is the witness of God [which] he has witnessed concerning his Son. ¹⁰ He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself; he that does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness which God has witnessed concerning his Son. ¹¹ And this is the witness, that God has given to us eternal life; and this life is in his Son. ¹² He that has the Son has life: he that has not the Son of God has not life.

¹⁰ And I fell before his feet to do him homage. And he says to me, See [thou do it] not. I am thy fellow-bondman, and [the fellow-bondman] of thy brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Do homage to God. For the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus.
