³² Let the Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and may believe. And they that were crucified with him reproached him.

⁶ Thus saith Jehovah, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts: I [am] the first, and I [am] the last, and beside me there is no God.

¹⁵ Jehovah hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy; the King of Israel, Jehovah, is in the midst of thee; thou shalt not see evil any more.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion; shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, thy King cometh to thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly and rIding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass.

¹⁷ All the generations, therefore, from Abraham to David [were] fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away of Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the carrying away of Babylon unto the Christ, fourteen generations.

⁴⁴ And the robbers also who had been crucified with him cast the same reproaches on him.

⁶¹ But he was silent, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and says to him, *Thou* art the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? ⁶² And Jesus said, *I* am, and ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.

²⁶ And the superscription of what he was accused of was written up: The King of the Jews.

³⁹ Now one of the malefactors who had been hanged spoke insultingly to him, saying, Art not thou the Christ? save thyself and us. ⁴⁰ But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost *thou* too not fear God, thou that art under the same judgment? ⁴¹ and *we* indeed justly, for we receive the just recompense of what we have done; but this [man] has done nothing amiss. ⁴² And he said to Jesus, Remember me, [Lord,] when thou comest in thy kingdom. ⁴³ And Jesus said to him, Verily I say to thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the King of Israel.

¹³ took branches of palms and went out to meet him, and cried, Hosanna, blessed [is] he that comes in the name of [the] Lord, the King of Israel.

¹² From this time Pilate sought to release him; but the Jews cried out saying, If thou releasest this [man], thou art not a friend to Caesar. Every one making himself a king speaks against Caesar. ¹³ Pilate therefore, having heard these words, led Jesus out and sat down upon [the] judgment-seat, at a place called Pavement, but in Hebrew Gabbatha; ¹⁴ (now it was [the] preparation of the passover; it was about the sixth hour;) and he says to the Jews, Behold your king! ¹⁵ But they cried out, Take [him] away, take [him] away, crucify him. Pilate says to them, Shall I crucify your king? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

²⁵ The other disciples therefore said to him, We have seen the Lord. But he said to them, Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe. ²⁶ And eight days after, his disciples were again within, and Thomas with them. Jesus comes, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said, Peace [be] to you. ²⁷ Then he says to Thomas, Bring thy finger here and see my hands; and bring thy hand and put it into my side; and be not unbelieving, but believing. ²⁸ Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord and my God. ²⁹ Jesus says to him, Because thou hast seen me thou hast believed: blessed they who have not seen and have believed.

³ For what? if some have not believed, shall their unbelief make the faith of God of none effect?

¹⁸ [men] who as to the truth have gone astray, saying that the resurrection has taken place already; and overthrow the faith of some.
