¹ Simon Peter, bondman and apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have received like precious faith with us through [the] righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ:

² Behold, ?God is my salvation: I will trust, and not be afraid; for Jah, Jehovah, is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation.

¹⁶ In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell in safety. And this is the name wherewith she shall be called: Jehovah our Righteousness.

¹⁸ And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishers;

² Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother;

⁴⁷ and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour.

⁴⁹ For this reason also the wisdom of God has said, I will send to them prophets and apostles, and of these shall they kill and drive out by persecution,

³¹ And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to have you, to sift [you] as wheat; ³² but *I* have besought for thee that thy faith fail not; and *thou*, when once thou hast been restored, confirm thy brethren. ³³ And he said to him, Lord, with thee I am ready to go both to prison and to death. ³⁴ And he said, I tell thee, Peter, [the] cock shall not crow to-day before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

⁴² And he led him to Jesus. Jesus looking at him said, Thou art Simon, the son of Jonas; thou shalt be called Cephas (which interpreted is stone).

²⁶ If any one serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there also shall be *my* servant. [And] if any one serve me, him shall the Father honour.

²¹ [Jesus] said therefore again to them, Peace [be] to you: as the Father sent me forth, I also send you.

¹⁵ When therefore they had dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Feed my lambs. ¹⁶ He says to him again a second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Shepherd my sheep. ¹⁷ He says to him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, art thou attached to me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Art thou attached to me? and said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. Jesus says to him, Feed my sheep.

⁸ And the heart-knowing God bore them witness, giving [them] the Holy Spirit as to us also, ⁹ and put no difference between us and them, having purified their hearts by faith.

¹⁴ Simon has related how God first visited to take out of [the] nations a people for his name.

¹ Paul, bondman of Jesus Christ, [a] called apostle, separated to God`s glad tidings,

¹² that is, to have mutual comfort among you, each by the faith [which is] in the other, both yours and mine.

¹⁷ for righteousness of God is revealed therein, on the principle of faith, to faith: according as it is written, But the just shall live by faith.

²¹ But now without law righteousness of God is manifested, borne witness to by the law and the prophets; ²² righteousness of God by faith of Jesus Christ towards all, and upon all those who believe: for there is no difference; ²³ for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ²⁴ being justified freely by his grace through the redemption which [is] in Christ Jesus; ²⁵ whom God has set forth a mercy-seat, through faith in his blood, for [the] shewing forth of his righteousness, in respect of the passing by the sins that had taken place before, through the forbearance of God; ²⁶ for [the] shewing forth of his righteousness in the present time, so that he should be just, and justify him that is of [the] faith of Jesus.

³⁰ But of him are *ye* in Christ Jesus, who has been made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness, and holiness, and redemption;

¹ Am I not free? am I not an apostle? have I not seen Jesus our Lord? are not *ye* my work in [the] Lord?

⁹ For *I* am the least of the apostles, who am not fit to be called apostle, because I have persecuted the assembly of God.

¹³ And having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, I have believed, therefore have I spoken; *we* also believe, therefore also we speak;

²¹ Him who knew not sin he has made sin for us, that *we* might become God`s righteousness in him.

⁸ (for he that wrought in Peter for [the] apostleship of the circumcision wrought also in me towards the Gentiles,)

⁵ which in other generations has not been made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets in [the power of the] Spirit,

⁵ one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

¹¹ and *he* has given some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers,

²⁹ because to you has been given, as regards Christ, not only the believing on him but the suffering for him also,

⁹ and that I may be found in him, not having my righteousness, which [would be] on the principle of law, but that which is by faith of Christ, the righteousness which [is] of God through faith,

⁵ calling to mind the unfeigned faith which [has been] in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and in thy mother Eunice, and I am persuaded that in thee also.

¹ Paul, bondman of God, and apostle of Jesus Christ according to [the] faith of God`s elect, and knowledge of [the] truth which [is] according to piety;

⁴ to Titus, my own child according to [the] faith common [to us]: Grace and peace from God [the] Father, and Christ Jesus our Saviour.

¹³ awaiting the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;

¹ Peter, apostle of Jesus Christ, to [the] sojourners of [the] dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

⁷ that the proving of your faith, much more precious than of gold which perishes, though it be proved by fire, be found to praise and glory and honour in [the] revelation of Jesus Christ:

⁷ To you therefore who believe [is] the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of [the] corner,

¹ The elders which [are] among you I exhort, who [am their] fellow-elder and witness of the sufferings of the Christ, who also [am] partaker of the glory about to be revealed:

⁴ through which he has given to us the greatest and precious promises, that through these ye may become partakers of [the] divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
