³ I haue made a couenaunt with my chosen, I haue sworne vnto Dauid my seruaunt.

⁹ God do Abner this and that, yf I do not as the LORDE hath sworne vnto Dauid,

¹⁰ And for my people of Israel I wyll appoynte a place, and wyll plante them, that they maye remayne there, nomore to be remoued, and yt the childre of wickednes oppresse them nomore, like as afore, ¹¹ and sence the tyme that I ordeyned Iudges ouer my people of Israel. And I wyll geue the rest from all thine enemies. And the LORDE sheweth the, that the LORDE wyl make the a house. ¹² Now whan yi tyme is fulfylled yt thou shalt slepe wt thy fathers, I wil after ye rayse vp thy syde, which shal come of thy body: his kyngdome wyl I stablishe, ¹³ he shal buylde an house for my name, and I wyll stablyshe ye seate of his kyngdome for euer. ¹⁴ I wyll be his father, and he shall be my sonne. Whan he doth a trespace, I wyll reproue him with the rodd of men and with the plages of ye childre of men: ¹⁵ But my mercy shal not be withdrawen fro him, as I haue withdrawe it fro Saul, who I haue take awaye before the. ¹⁶ As for yi house & thy kyngdome, it shal be stablished for euer before the, & thy seate shal endure fast for euermore.

⁵ euen so shal my house be with God. For he hath made an euerlastinge couenaunt with me, well appoynted on euery syde and sure. For this is all my health & pleasure, that it shal growe.

¹⁶ Sence the daye yt I broughte my people of Israel out of Egipte, haue I chosen no cite amoge all the trybes of Israel, to buylde me an house, that my name might be there. But Dauid haue I chosen, to be ouer my people of Israel.

⁷⁰ And there he buylded his temple on hye, and layed ye foundacion of it like ye grounde, that it might perpetually endure.

¹⁹ The LORDE is oure defence, and the holy one of Israel is oure kynge.

²⁸ And I wil make him my firstborne, hyer then the kinges of the earth.

³⁴ Neuerthelesse, my louynge kyndnesse wil I not vtterly take from him, ner fuffre my trueth to fayle. ³⁵ My couenaunt wil I not breake, ner disanulle the thinge yt is gone out of my lippes.

³⁹ Sela. But now thou forsakest and abhorrest thyne anoynted, and art displeased at him.

¹¹ The LORDE hath made a faithfull ooth vnto Dauid, & he shal not shrenke from it:

¹ Beholde now therfore, this is my seruaunt whom I will kepe to my self: my electe, In whom my soule shalbe pacified. I will geue him my sprete, that he maye shewe forth iudgment & equyte amonge the Gentiles.

³ Enclyne youre eares, & come vnto me, take hede & youre soule shal lyue. For I will make an euerlastinge couenaunt with you, eue the sure mercies of Dauid.

⁹ but they shall do seruyce vnto God their LORDE, and to Dauid their kinge, whom I will rayse vp vnto them.

²⁰ Thus saieth the LORDE: Maye the couenaunt which I haue made with daye and night, be broken, that there shulde not be daye and night in due season? ²¹ Then maye my couenaunt also be broken, which I made with Dauid my seruaunt, and so he not to haue a sonne to reigne in his Trone. So shall also the prestes and Leuites neuer fayle, but serue me.

²³ I wil rayse vp vnto them one only shepherde: euen my seruaunt Dauid, he shal fede the, and he shal be their shepherde. ²⁴ I the LORDE wil be their God, and my seruaunt Dauid shal be their prince: Euen I the LORDE haue spoken it.

⁵ But afterwarde shal the children of Israel conuerte, and seke the LORDE their God, and Dauid their kinge: and in ye latter dayes they shal worshipe the LORDE, and his louynge kyndnesse.

¹⁷ And lo, there came a voyce fro heue sayng: Thys ys that my beloued sonne, in whom is my delyte.

¹⁸ Beholde, this is my seruaunt, whom I haue chosen: and my beloued, in whom my soule delyteth: I wil put my sprete vpon hi, and he shal shewe iudgment vnto the Heithe. ¹⁹ He shal not stryue, ner crye, nether shal eny man heare his voyce in the stretes. ²⁰ A brosed rede shal he not breake, and flax that beginneth to burne shal he not quench, tyll he sende forth iudgment vnto victory. ²¹ And in his name shal the Heithen trust.

³² he shalbe greate, & shalbe called ye sonne of the Hyest. And the LORDE God shal geue him ye seate of Dauid his father, ³³ & he shal be kinge ouer ye house of Iacob for euer & there shalbe no ende of his kyngdome.

³⁰ Wherfore now seinge yt he was a prophet, and knewe that God had promised him with an ooth, that the frute of his loynes shulde syt on his seate,

²¹ Those prestes were made without an ooth, but this prest with an ooth, by him that sayde vnto him: The LORDE sware, and wyl not repente: Thou art a prest for euer after the order of Melchisedech.
