¹ Hir foundacions are vpo the holy hilles: the LORDE loueth the gates of Sion more, the all ye dwelliges of Iacob.

¹ And Salomon beganne to buylde the house of the LORDE at Ierusalem vpon the mount Moria, that was shewed vnto Dauid his father, which Dauid had prepared for the rowme, vpon the corne floore of Arnan the Iebusite.

¹ Greate is ye LORDE & hyelie to be praysed, in ye cite of or God, eue vpo his holy hill. ² The hill of Sion is like a fayre plate, wherof all the londe reioyseth: vpon the north syde lyeth the cite of the greate kinge.

¹⁶ Why hoppe ye so, ye greate hilles? It pleaseth God to dwell vpo this hill, yee the LORDE wil abyde in it for euer.

¹ I lift vp myne eyes vnto the hilles, fro whence commeth my helpe?

² It will be also in processe of tyme: That the hill where the the house of the LORDE is buylded, shal be ye chefe amoge hilles, and exalted aboue al litle hilles. And al heithe shal prease vnto him and the multitude of people shall go vnto him, ³ speakinge thus one to another: vp, let us go to the hill of the LORDE, and to the house of ye God of Iacob: yt he maye shewe us his waye, and yt we maye walke in his pathes. For ye lawe shal come out of Syon, and the worde of God from Ierusalem,

¹⁶ Therfore thus saieth the LORDE God: Beholde, I wil laye a stone in Sion, a greate stone, a costly corner stone for a sure foundacion: yt who so putteth his trust in him, shal not be confouded.

⁷ Them wil I bringe to my holy moutayne, & make the ioyfull in my house of prayer. Their burntoffringes and sacrifices shalbe accepted vpo myne aulter. for my house shalbe an house of prayer for all people.

³ thus saieth the LORDE of hoostes: I wil turne me agayne vnto Sion, and wil dwel in the myddest of Ierusalem: so that Ierusalem shalbe called a faithfull and true cite, the hill of the LORDE of hoostes, yee an holy hill.

¹⁸ And I saie to ye: Thou art Peter, & vpo this rocke wil I builde my cogregacion: and ye gates of hell shal not preuayle agaynst it.

¹⁰ Acordinge to the grace of God which is geuen vnto me, as a wyse buylder haue I layed the foundacion, but another buyldeth theron. Yet let euery man take hede how he buyldeth theron. ¹¹ For other foudacion can noman laye, then that which is layed, the which is Iesus Christ.

²⁰ buylded vpon ye foundacion of ye Apostles and prophetes where Iesus Christ is ye heade corner stone ²¹ in whom euery buyldinge coupled together, groweth to an holy temple in the LODRE, ²² in whom ye also are buylded together, to be an habitacion of God in the sprete.

⁴ Vnto whom ye are come, as to the lyuynge stone, which is disalowed of men, but chosen of God and precious. ⁵ And ye also as lyuynge stones are made a spirituall house, and an holy presthode, to offre vp spirituall sacrifices, acceptable vnto God by Iesus Christ. ⁶ Wherfore it is conteyned in the scripture: Beholde, I put in Sion an heade corner stone, electe & precious, and he that beleueth on him, shal not be cofounded. ⁷ Vnto you therfore which beleue, he is precious: but vnto them that beleue not, is ye same stone which the buylders refused, made the heade stone in the corner, ⁸ and a stone to stomble at, and a rock to be offended at, namely in the which stomble at ye worde, and beleue not that wheron they were set.

¹⁸ And this voyce herde we broughte downe fro heauen, whan we were with him on the holy mount.
