²² And beholde, there came one of the rulers of the synagoge, whose name was Iairus. And whan he sawe him, he fell downe at his fete,

¹¹ and went into the house, and found the chylde with Mary his mother, and kneled downe and worshipped hym, & opened ther treasures, and offred vnto hym gyftes: gold, franckynsence and myrre.

¹⁸ Whyle he thus spake vnto them, beholde there came a certayne ruler, and worshipped him, sayinge: My doughter is eue now deceased, but come and lay yi honde on her, and she shall liue. ¹⁹ Iesus arose and folowed hym with hys disciples. ²⁰ And beholde, a woman which was diseased wt an yssue of bloude xij. yeres, came behynde hym, and touched the hem of hys vesture. ²¹ For she sayde in her silfe: yf I maye touche but euen his vesture only, I shalbe safe. ²² Then Iesus tourned him aboute, and behelde her, sayinge: Doughter be of good conforte, thy faith hath made ye safe. And she was made whole, euen that same houre. ²³ And when Iesus came into the rulers house, and sawe the minstrels and the people raginge, ²⁴ he sayde vnto them: Get you hece, for ye mayde is not deed, but slepeth. And they laughed hym to scorne. ²⁵ But whan the people were put forth, he went in, and toke her by the honde, and the mayde arose. ²⁶ And this was noysed through out all that londe.

³³ As for the woman, she feared and trembled (for she knew, what was done in her) and came and fell downe before him, and tolde him the whole trueth.

³⁵ Whyle he yet spake, there came certayne from the ruler of the synagoges house, and sayde: Thy doughter is deed, why troublest thou the master eny more? ³⁶ But Iesus herde right soone the worde that was spoken, and sayde vnto the ruler of the synagoge: Be not thou afrayed, beleue onely.

³⁸ And he came in to the ruler of the synagoges house, and sawe the busynes, and them that wepte and wayled greatly:

²⁸ Neuertheles wha he sawe Iesus, he cried, and fell downe before him, and cried loude, & sayde: What haue I to do with the Iesus, thou sonne of the Hyest God? I beseke the, that thou wilt not tormete me.

⁴¹ And beholde, there came a man named Iairus (and he was a ruler of the synagoge) and fell at Iesus fete, & besought him, that he wolde come in to his house. ⁴² For he had but one doughter (vpon a twolue yeare of age) and she laye at ye poynt of death. And as he wente, the people thronged him. ⁴³ And a woma hauynge the bloudyssue twolue yeares, (which had spent all hir substaunte vpon phisicians, and coude be healed of none) ⁴⁴ came behynde, & touched the hemme of his garmet, and immediatly hir yssue of bloude was staunched. ⁴⁵ And Iesus sayde: Who hath touched me? But whan they all denyed, Peter sayde, and they that were with him: Master, the people thronge the and thrust the, and thou sayest: Who hath touched me? ⁴⁶ Iesus saide: Some body hath touched me, for I fele, that there is vertue gone out fro me. ⁴⁷ But whan the woman sawe that she was not hyd, she came treblynge, and fell downe before him, and tolde him before all the people, for what cause she had touched him, & how she was healed immediatly. ⁴⁸ And he sayde vnto her: Doughter, be of good comforte, thy faith hath made the whole, go thy waye in peace. ⁴⁹ Whyle he yet spake, there came one fro ye ruler of ye synagoges house, and sayde vnto him: Thy doughter is deed, disease not the master. ⁵⁰ Whan Iesus herde that, he answered him, and sayde: Feare not, beleue onely, and she shal be made whole. ⁵¹ But whan he came in to the house, he suffred no man to go in, saue Peter, and Iames and Iho, and the father and mother of the mayden. ⁵² They wepte all, and sorowed for her. But he sayde: Wepe not, for she is not deed, but slepeth. ⁵³ And they laughed hi to scorne, knowynge well that she was deed. ⁵⁴ But he thrust them all out, and toke her by the hande, and cryed, and sayde: Mayde aryse. ⁵⁵ And hir sprete came agayne, & she arose straight waye. And he comaunded to geue her meate. ⁵⁶ And hir elders were astonnyed. But he charged them, that they shulde tell no man, what was done.

¹⁴ Then answered the ruler of the synagoge, and toke indignacion (because Iesus healed vpo ye Sabbath) and sayde vnto the people: There are sixe dayes, wherin men ought to worke, in them come and be healed, and not on the Sabbath.

²⁵ And as it chaunced yt Peter came in, Cornelius mett him, and fell downe at his fete, & worshipped him. ²⁶ But Peter toke him vp, and sayde: Stonde vp, I am a man also.

¹⁵ But after the lecture of the lawe and of the prophetes, the rulers of the synagoge sent vnto them, sayenge: Good brethren, yf ye haue eny sermon to exorte the people, saye on.

⁸ Howbeit Crispus the chefe ruler of the synagoge, beleued on ye LORDE with all his housholde. And many of the Corinthians that gaue audience, beleued, and were baptysed.

¹⁷ Then all the Grekes toke Sosthenes the ruler of the Sinagoge, and smote him before the iudgment seate. And Gallio cared for none of tho thinges.

⁸ I am Ihon, which sawe these thinges and herde them. And whe I had herde and sene the, I fell downe to worshippe before the fete of the angell which shewed me these thinges.
