⁶ I haue declared thy name vnto ye men, whom thou gauest me from the worlde. They were thine, and thou gauest them vnto me, and they haue kepte thy worde.

¹³ Moses sayde vnto God: Beholde, whan I come to the childre of Israel, and saye vnto them: The God of youre fathers hath sent me vnto you, & they saye vnto me: What is his name? what shal I saye vnto them? ¹⁴ God saide vnto Moses: I wyl be what I wyll be. And he sayde: Thus shalt thou saye vnto ye children of Israel: I wyl he hath sent me vnto you. ¹⁵ And God sayde morouer vnto Moses: Thus shalt thou saye vnto the children of Israel: The LORDE God of youre fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, ye God of Iacob hath sent me vnto you, this is my name for euer, and my memoriall from childe to childes childe.

¹⁶ Yet haue I stered ye vp for this cause, euen to shew my power vpon ye, and that my name might be declared in all londes.

⁵ The came the LORDE downe in a cloude. And there he stepte vnto him, & called vpo ye name of ye LORDE. ⁶ And whan ye LORDE passed by before his face, he cryed: LORDE LORDE, God, mercifull & gracious, & longe sufferinge, and of greate mercy and trueth, ⁷ thou that kepest mercy in stoare for thousandes, and forgeuest wickednes, trespace and synne (before whom there is no man innocent) thou that visitest the wickednesse of the fathers vpon ye children and childers children, vnto the thirde and fourth generacion.

²² So will I declare thy name vnto my brethren, in the myddest off the congregacion will I prayse the.

¹⁷ Thy rightuousnes (o God) is very hie, thou that doest greate thinges: o God, who is like vnto the? ¹⁸ O what greate troubles & aduersite hast thou shewed me? & yet didest thou turne & refresh me, yee & broughtest me from the depe of the earth agayne. ¹⁹ Thou hast brought me to greate honoure, & comforted me on euery syde.

¹¹ Thy wordes haue I hyd within my herte, yt I shulde not synne agaynst the.

¹ My sonne, yf thou wilt receaue my wordes, and kepe my comaundemetes by the, ² that thine eare maye herken vnto wysdome, applie thine herte then to vnderstodinge. ³ For yf thou criest after wy?dome, & callest for knowlege: ⁴ yf thou sekest after her as after money, and dyggest for her as for treasure: ⁵ The shalt thou vnderstonde ye feare of the LORDE, and fynde ye knowlege of God.

¹⁰ Yf wy?dome entre in to thine herte, and yi soule delyte in knowlege:

¹ My sonne, forget not my lawe, but se yt thine hert kepe my comaundemetes. ² For they shal prologe ye dayes & yeares of yi lyfe, & brynge ye peace. ³ Let mercy & faithfulnes neuer go from ye: bynde the about yi necke, & wryte them in the tables of thine herte. ⁴ So shalt thou fynde fauor and good vnderstondinge in ye sight of God and men.

²³ Labor for to get ye treuth: sell not awaye wy?dome, nourtor & vnderstodinge

²⁵ At ye same tyme Iesus answered, and sayde: I prayse the (O father and LORDE of heauen and earth) that thou hast hid these thinges from the wyse and prudent, and opened the vnto babes. ²⁶ Euen so father, for so it pleased the. ²⁷ All thinges are geuen ouer vnto me of my father: and no ma knoweth the sonne, but the father: nether knoweth eny man the father, saue the sonne, and he to whom the sonne wil open it.

²¹ At the same houre reioysed Iesus in sprete, and sayde: I prayse the (O father and LORDE of heauen and earth) that thou hast hyd these thinges from the wyse and prudent, and hast opened them vnto babes. Euen so father, for so it pleased the. ²² All thinges are geuen ouer vnto me of my father: and no man knoweth who the sonne is, but onely the father: nether who the father is, saue onely the sonne, and he to who the sonne wil open it.

¹⁸ No man hath sene God at eny tyme. The onely begotte sonne which is in the bosome of the father, he hath declared the same vnto vs.

³⁷ All that my father geueth me, cometh vnto me: and who so cometh vnto me, him wyl not I cast out:

³⁹ This is ye will of the father, which hath sent me, that of all that he hath geue me, I shulde lose nothinge, but shulde rayse it vp agayne at the last daye.

³¹ Yf ye contynue in my worde, then are ye my very disciples, ³² and ye shall knowe the trueth, and the trueth shal make you fre.

²⁷ My shepe heare my voyce, & I knowe the, & they folowe me. ²⁸ And I geue the euerlastinge life, & they shal neuer perishe, and noma shal plucke the out of my hande. ²⁹ My father which gaue the me, is greater the all: & noman is able to plucke them out of my fathers hande.

²⁸ Father, glorifye thy name. Then came there a voyce from heauen: I haue glorified it, and wyl glorifye it agayne.

²¹ He that hath my comaundementes, and kepeth them, the same is he that loueth me: and he that loueth me, shalbe loued of my father: & I wyl loue him, and wyl shewe myne awne self vnto him. ²² Iudas sayde vnto hi: (not that Iscarioth) LORDE, What is the cause the, that thou wilt shewe thy self vnto vs, and not vnto the worlde? ²³ Iesus answered, and sayde vnto him: He that loueth me, wyl kepe my worde, and my father wyl loue him: and we wyl come vnto him, and wyll make oure dwellynge with him. ²⁴ But he that loueth me not, kepeth not my sayenges. And the worde that ye heare, is not myne, but the fathers which hath sent me.

³ Now are ye cleane, because of the worde, that I haue spoke vnto you.

⁷ Yf ye abyde in me, and my wordes abyde in you, ye shal axe what ye wyl, & it shal be done vnto you.

¹⁹ Yf ye were of the worlde, the worlde wolde loue his awne. Howbeit because ye are not of the worlde, but I haue chosen you from the worlde, therfore the worlde hateth you.

² Like as thou hast geuen him power ouer all fleshe, that he shulde geue euerlastinge life to as many as thou hast geuen him.

⁹ I praye for them, and praye not for the worlde, but for them whom thou hast geuen me, for they are thine. ¹⁰ And all that is myne, is thine: and what thine is, that is myne. And I am glorifyed in them. ¹¹ And now am I nomore in the worlde, and they are in ye worlde, and I come to the. Holy father, kepe in thy name, those whom thou hast geue me, that they maye be one, like as we are.

¹⁴ I haue geuen them thy worde, and the worlde hateth the: for they are not of the worlde, euen as I also am not of the worlde.

¹⁶ They are not of the worlde, as I also am not of the worlde.

²⁴ Father, I wil, that they whom thou hast geuen me, be with me where I am, yt they maye se my glory, which thou hast geue me: for thou hast loued me, or euer ye worlde was made.

²⁶ And I haue declared thy name vnto them, & wyl declare it, yt the loue wherwith thou hast loued me, maye be in the, & I in them.

⁹ That the worde might be fulfylled, which he sayde: Of them who thou gauest me, haue I not lost one.

⁴⁸ Whan the Gentyles herde that, they were glad, and praysed the worde of the LORDE, and beleued, eue as many as were ordeyned to euerlastinge life.

²⁸ But sure we are, that all thinges serue for the best vnto them that loue of God, which are called of purpose. ²⁹ For those whom he knewe before, hath he ordeyned also before, yt they shulde be like fashioned vnto ye shappe of his sonne, yt he mighte be the first begotte amoge many brethre. ³⁰ As for those whom he hath ordeyned before, them hath he called also: and whom he hath called, the hath he also made righteous: and whom he hath made righteous, them hath he glorified also.

² God hath not thrust out his people, whom he knewe before. Or wote ye not what the scripture sayeth of Elias, how he maketh intercession vnto God agaynst Israel, and sayeth:

⁶ For God that comaunded the light to shyne out of darcknesse, hath geuen a cleare shyne in oure hertes, yt by vs ye light of ye knowlege of the glory of God mighte come forth, in the face of Iesus Christ.

⁴ acordinge as he had chosen vs by him, or euer the foundacion of the worlde was layed, that we shulde be holy and without blame before him in loue, ⁵ & ordeyned vs before, to receaue vs as children thorow Iesus Christ, acordinge to the pleasure of his will, ⁶ vnto the prayse of the glory of his grace, wherby he hath made vs accepted in the Beloued, ⁷ in whom we haue redempcion thorow his bloude (namely) the forgeuenes of synnes, acordynge to ye riches of his grace, ⁸ which he hath shed vpon vs abundauntly in all wyssdome and prudece: ⁹ and hath opened vnto vs the mystery of his wil acordinge to his pleasure, which he had purposed in himselfe, ¹⁰ yt it shulde be preached wha the tyme was full come, that all thinges shulde be gathered together by Christ, both the thinges which are in heauen, and also the thinges that are vpon earth, ¹¹ euen by him, by whom also we are come to the inheritaunce we that were therto predestinate before, acordinge to ye purpose of him, which worketh all thinges after ye councell of his owne wyll,

¹⁶ Let ye worde of Christ dwell in you plenteously in all wyssdome. Teach and exhorte youre awne selues with psalmes and ymnes, and spirituall songes which haue fauoure with them, synginge in youre hertes to the LORDE.

¹³ But we are bounde to geue thankes allwaye vnto God for you, brethren be loued of the LORDE, because that God hath from the begynnynge chosen you to saluacion in the sanctifienge of the sprete and in beleuynge of the trueth, ¹⁴ whervnto he hath called you by oure Gospell, to optayne the glory of oure LORDE Iesus Christ.

¹³ Holde the after ye ensample of the wholsome wordes, which thou heardest of me, concernynge faith and loue in Christ Iesu.

¹² sayenge: I will declare thy name vnto my brethren, and in the myddes of the cogregacion wil I prayse the.

⁶ But Christ as a sonne hath rule ouer his house, whose house are we, yf we holde fast the confidence and reioysinge of that hope vnto the ende.

²⁰ But we knowe, that the sonne of God is come, and hath geuen vs a mynde, to knowe him which is true: and we are in him yt is true, in his sonne Iesu Christ. This is the true God, and euerlastinge life.

¹³ I knowe thy workes, and where thou dwellest, euen where Sathans seat is, and thou kepest my name, & hast not denyed my faith. And in my dayes Antipas was a faithfull witnes of myne, which was slayne amonge you, where Sathan dwelleth.

⁸ I knowe thy workes. Beholde, I haue set before the an open doore, and no man can shut it, for thou hast a lyttell strength and hast not denyed my name.
