³⁸ But Iesus groned agayne in himself, and came to the graue. It was a caue, and a stone layed on it.

¹⁹ Then Abraham buried Sara his wife in the dubble caue of the felde, that lyeth ouer before Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the londe of Canaan.

²⁹ And he commaunded them, and sayde vnto them: I shal be gathered vnto my people, burye me with my fathers in ye caue which is in the felde of Ephron the Hethite, ³⁰ in the dubble caue that lyeth ouer against Mamre in ye lande of Canaa, which Abraha bought with the felde, of Ephron the Hethite for a possession to burye in. ³¹ There buryed they Abraha & Sara his wife, there buried they Isaac also & Rebecca his wife: & their buried I Lea,

¹⁶ What hast thou here to do? & from whece comest thou? that thou hast made the a graue here? For he had caused a costly tombe of stone to be made for himself, and a place to lye in to be hewen out of a rock.

⁴ and the LORDE sayde vnto him: Go thy waye thorow the cite of Ierusalem, and set this marck [Hebrew: t] Thau vpo the foreheades of them, that mourne, and are sory for all the abhominacions, that be done therin.

⁶ Mourne therfore (o thou sonne of man) yt thy loynes crack withall, yee mourne bytterly for them:

⁶⁰ and layed it in his owne new sepulcre, which he had hewen out in a rocke, and rolled a greate stone to the dore of the sepulcre, and wente his waye.

⁶⁶ They wete and kepte the sepulcre wt watchmen, and sealed the stone.

¹² And he sighed in his sprete, and sayde: Why doth this generacion seke a token? Verely I saye vnto you: There shal no toke be geue vnto this generacion.

⁴⁶ And he bought a lynne cloth, & toke him downe, & wrapped hi in ye lynne clothe, & layed him in a sepulcre, which was hewe out of a rocke, & rolled a stone before ye dore of ye sepulcre.

² Neuertheles they founde the stone rolled awaye from the sepulcre,

³³ Wha Iesus sawe her wepe, & the Iewes wepinge also yt came wt her, he groned in the sprete, & was sory wt in himself,

¹ Vpon one daye of the Sabbath, came Mary Magdalene early (whe it was yet darcke) vnto the sepulcre, & sawe that the stone was take from the sepulcre.
