¹ What is he this, that cometh from Edom, with stayned reade clothes of Bosra: (which is so costly, cloth) & cometh in so neebly with all his stregth? I am he yt teacheth rightuousnes, & am of power to helpe.

¹⁹ God is not a man yt he shulde lye, ner a mans childe yt eny thinge shulde repente him. Shulde he saye and not do? Shulde he speake & not make it good?

⁷ Sela. Open yor gates (o ye prices) let the euerlastinge dores be opened, yt ye kynge of glory maye come in. ⁸ Who is this kynge of glory? It is the LORDE stroge and mightie, euen the LORDE mightie in batell. ⁹ Open youre gates (o ye prynces) let the euerlastinge dores be opened, yt the kynge off glory maye come in. ¹⁰ Who is this kynge off glory? It is the LORDE of hoostes, he is the kynge of glory. Sela.

³ Thou art the fayrest amonge the children of me, full of grace are thy lippes, therfore God blesseth the for euer. ⁴ Gyrde the with thy swerde vpon thy thee (o thou mightie) with worshipe and renowne.

⁷ Remembre the childre of Edom (o LORDE) in the daye of Ierusalem, how they sayde: downe with it, downe with it, eue to the grounde.

⁶ Who is this, that commeth out of ye wyldernesse like pilers of smoke, as it were a smell of Myrre, frankencense and all maner spyces of the Apotecary?

¹⁰ What is she this, that pepeth out as the mornynge? fayre as the Moone, excellent as the Sonne, glorious as an armye of men with their banners?

⁵ What is she this, that cometh vp from the wildernes, and leaneth vpon hir loue? I am the same that waked the vp amonge the aple trees, where thy mother beare ye, where yi mother brought the in to the worlde.

⁵ Morouer all temerarious and sedicious power (yee where there is but a cote fyled wt bloude) shalbe burnt, and fede the fyre.

⁵ For my swearde (saieth he) shalbe bathed in heauen, & shal immediatly come downe vpon Idumea, and vpon the people which I haue cursed for my vengeaunce. ⁶ And the LORDES swearde shalbe full of bloude, & be rustie with the fatnesse & bloude of lambes and gootes, with the fatnesse of neeres of the wethers. For the LORDE shal kyl a great offringe in Bosra, and in the londe of Idumea.

¹⁹ I haue not spoken secretly, nether in darcke places of the earth. It is not for naught, that I sayde vnto the sede of Iacob: seke me. I am the LORDE, which whe I speake, declare the thinge that is rightuous and true.

²³ I sweare by myself: out of my mouth cometh ye worde of rightuousnesse, and that maye no man turne: but all knees shal bowe vnto me, and all tunges shal sweare by me,

² Wherfore the is thy clothinge reade, & thy raymet like his yt treadeth in ye wyne presse? ³ I haue trodde the presse my self alone, & of all people, there was not one with me. Thus haue I trode downe myne enemies in my wrath, and set my fete vpo them in my indignacion: And their bloude sprange vpo my cloothes, & so haue I stayned all my rayment.

¹¹ Thus sayeth the LORDE: For thre and foure wickednesses of Edom I wil not spare him, because he persecuted his brother with the swerde, destroyed his mothers wombe, bare hatred very longe, and so kepte indignacion allwaye by him. ¹² Therfore will I sende a fyre in to Thema, which shal deuoure the pallaces of Bosra.

¹⁷ for the LORDE thy God is with the, it is he that hath power to saue: he hath a special pleasure in the, and a maruelous loue towarde the: yee he reioyseth ouer the wt gladnesse.

¹⁰ And whan he was come in to Ierusalem, all the cite was moued, and sayde: Who is this?

²⁸ And I geue the euerlastinge life, & they shal neuer perishe, and noma shal plucke the out of my hande. ²⁹ My father which gaue the me, is greater the all: & noman is able to plucke them out of my fathers hande. ³⁰ I and the father are one.

²⁵ Wherfore he is able also euer to saue them, that come vnto God by him: & lyueth euer, to make intercession for vs.

⁵ that are kepte by the power of God thorow faith to saluacion, which is prepared all ready to be shewed in the last tyme:

²⁴ Vnto him that is able to kepe you, that ye faule not, and to present you fautlesse before ye presence of his glory with ioye, ²⁵ yt is to saye, to God oure saueoure which only is wyse, be glory, maiestie, dominion, & power, now and for euer. Amen.

¹⁷ sayenge: we geue the thankes LORDE God allmyghte: which art and wast, and art to come, for thou hast receaued thy greate might, and hast raygned. ¹⁸ And the Heythen were angry, & thy wrath is come, and the tyme of the deed that they shulde be iudged, and that thou shuldest geue rewarde vnto thy seruautes the prophettes and saynctes, and to the that feare thy name, small & greate: and shuldest destroye them which destroye the earth.

¹³ And he was clothed with a vesture dipt in bloude, and his name is called, ye worde of God.
