⁶ Vpon this, wente the princes and lordes together vnto the kynge, and sayde thus vnto him: kynge Darius, God saue thy life for euer.

³ & sayde vnto the kynge: God saue the kynges life for euer, shulde I not loke sadly? the cite of my fathers buryall lyeth wayest, & the portes therof are consumed wt the fyre.

⁶ They holde alltogether, & kepe them selues close: they marck my steppes, how they maye catch my soule.

³ How longe wil ye ymagin myschefe agaynst euery man? ye shal be slayne all ye sorte of you: yee as a tottringe wall shal ye be, & like a broken hedge.

² Hyde me from the gatheringe together of ye frowarde, fro ye heape of wicked doers. ³ Which whette their tuges like a swerde, & shute wt their venimous wordes like as wt arowes. ⁴ That they maye preuely hurte ye innocet, & sodely to hit him wt out eny feare. ⁵ They haue deuysed myschefe, and commoned amonge them selues, how they maye laye snares: tush (saye they) who shall se them? ⁶ They ymagin wickednesse, and kepe it secrete amonge them selues, euery man in ye depe of his herte.

⁴ Vpon this, the Caldees answered the kynge in the Syrians speach: O kynge, God saue thy life for euer. Shewe thy seruauntes the dreame, and we shal shewe the, what it meaneth.

⁹ and sayde vnto kynge Nabuchodonosor: O kynge, God saue thy lyfe for euer.

¹⁰ So by reason off this matter, yt had happened to the kynge & his lordes, the quene went vp herself in to the bancket house, and spake vnto the kynge, sayenge: O kynge God saue thy life for euer: Let not yi thoughtes trouble the, and let not thy countenaunce be chaunged.

¹¹ Then these men made searche, and founde Daniel makynge his peticion, and prayenge vnto his God.

²¹ Daniel sayde vnto the kynge: O kynge, God saue thy life for euer:

²³ The debyte saide: What euell hath he done the? Neuertheles they cried yet more and sayde, let him be crucified. ²⁴ So whan Pilate sawe, that he coude not helpe, but that there was a greater vproure, he toke water, and wasshed his handes before the people, and sayde: I am vngiltie of ye bloude of this righteous man. Se ye therto. ²⁵ Then answered all the people, and sayde: His bloude come vpon vs, and vpon oure children.

²³ But they laye styll vpon him with greate crye, and requyred yt he might be crucified. And the voyce of the and of the hye preastes preuayled. ²⁴ And Pilate gaue sentence, that it shulde be as they requyred, ²⁵ and let lowse vnto the, him, that for insurreccio and murthur was cast in to preson, whom they desyred, but gaue Iesus ouer vnto their wyll.

²² They gaue him audience vnto this worde, and lifte vp their voyce, & sayde: Awaye with soch a felowe from the earth, for it is not reason that he shulde lyue. ²³ But as they cried, and cast of their clothes, & thrue dust in to the ayre,

² Whan Paul was called forth, Tertullus begane to accuse him, and sayde: Seynge that we lyue in greate peace by the meanes of ye, and that many good thinges are done for this people thorow thy prouydence
