¹⁴ as obedient childre, not fasshionynge youre selues to yor olde lustes of ignoraunce:

³⁰ And truly God hath ouersene the tyme of ignoraunce: But now he commaundeth all men euery where to repente,

⁴ Therfore are we buried wt him by baptyme in to death, that, like as Christ was raysed vp from the deed by the glory of the father, euen so we also shulde walke in a new life.

² And fashion not youre selues like vnto this worlde, but be chaunged thorow the renewynge off yor mynde, yt ye maye proue, what thinge that good, yt acceptable, & perfecte wil of God is.

² in the which in tyme past ye walked, acordinge to the course off this worlde, and after the prynce that ruleth in the ayre namely, after ye sprete, which now worketh in the children of vnbeleue,

¹⁸ blynded in their vnderstondinge, beynge straungers fro the life which is in God thorow the ignoraunce that is in them, because of the blyndnes of their hert: ¹⁹ which beynge past repentaunce, haue geue them selues ouer vnto wantonnes, to worke all maner of vnclennes euen with gredynesse. ²⁰ But ye haue not so learned Christ, ²¹ yf so be that ye haue herde of him, & are taught in him, euen as the trueth is in Iesu. ²² So then as concernynge the conuersacion in tyme past laye from you that olde man which marreth himselfe thorow disceauable lustes:

⁶ (Let no man disceaue you with vayne wordes) for because of these commeth the wrath of God vpon the children of vnbeleue.

⁵ Mortifye therfore youre mebres which are vpon earth, whordome, vnclennes, vnnaturall lust, euell concupiscece, and couetousnes, which is a worshippynge of Idols: ⁶ for which thinges sakes the wrath of God commeth vpon the children of vnbeleue: ⁷ in the which thinges ye walked some tyme, whan ye lyued in them.

⁵ & not in the lust of concupiscence, as the Heythen which knowe not God.

³ For we oure selues also were in tymes past, vnwyse, dishobedient, in erroure, seruynge lustes and dyuerse maners of voluptuousnes, lyuynge in maliciousnes and envye, full of hate, hatynge one another. ⁴ But after that ye kyndnesse and loue of God oure Sauioure to man warde appeared, ⁵ not for ye dedes of righteousnes which we wroughte, but after his mercy he saued vs by the fountayne of the new byrth, and renuynge of the holy goost,

² yt hece forth (as moch tyme as yet remayneth in ye flesh) he shulde not lyue after the lustes of me, but after the wil of God. ³ For it is ynough, yt we haue spent ye tyme past of the life, after the will of ye Heythen, wha we walked in wantannesse, lustes, dronkenes, glotony, ryotous drynkynge, & i abhominable Idolatrye.
