Leviticus 25:47 Cross References - CLV

⁴⁷ In case the hand of a sojourner or guest beside you can afford it, and your brother beside him is reduced to poverty and sells himself to the sojourner or guest beside you or to the offspring of the sojourner's family,

²⁶ And in case a man comes to have no redeemer yet his own hand can afford it so that he finds sufficient means for its redemption,

⁷ Yahweh dispossesses, and He makes rich, He makes low, yea, He makes high. ⁸ He raises from the dust the poor, From a dunghill He lifts up the needy, To cause [them] to sit with nobles, Yea, a throne of honor He does cause them to inherit, For to Yahweh [are] the fixtures of earth, And He sets on them the habitable world.

⁵ Hear, my beloved brethren! Does not God choose the poor in the world, rich in faith and enjoyers of the allotment of the kingdom which He promises to those who are loving Him?
