³³ With the outgoing of your remnants from the seas, You have filled many peoples, With the abundance of your riches, and your merchandise, You have made rich things of earth."

³ and in many waters was the seed of the merchant. The harvest of the waterway was her income, and she became the mart of nations." ⁴ Be ashamed, Sidon! For the sea speaks, the stronghold of the sea, saying, "I have not travailed, nor have I borne, and not brought up choice men, nor raised virgins." ⁵ As the report progresses to Egypt, they will travail. As to the report of Tyre, ⁶ they pass it through toward Tharshish; they will howl! Dwellers of the coastland! ⁷ Was this your joy from the days aforetime? In antiquity her feet fetched her from afar to sojourn. ⁸ Who counseled this against Tyre, the crown giver, whose merchants were chiefs, her traffickers the glorious of the earth?

³ O dweller on the entrances of the sea, Merchant of the peoples unto many isles, Thus said the Lord Yahweh:O Tyre, you--you have said:I [am] the perfection of beauty."

¹² Tarshish [is] your merchant, Because of the abundance of all wealth, For silver, iron, tin, and lead, They have given out your remnants." ¹³ Javan, Tubal, and Meshech--they [are] your merchants, For persons of men, and vessels of brass, They have given out your merchandise." ¹⁴ They of the house of Togarmah, [For] horses, and riding steeds, and mules, They have given out your remnants." ¹⁵ Sons of Dedan [are] your merchants, Many isles [are] the mart of your hand, Horns of ivory and ebony they sent back your reward." ¹⁶ Aram [is] your merchant, Because of the abundance of your works, For emerald, purple, and embroidery, And fine linen, and coral, and agate, They have given out your remnants." ¹⁷ Judah and the land of Israel--they [are] your merchants, For wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, And honey, and oil, and balm, They have given out your merchandise." ¹⁸ Damascus [is] your merchant, For the abundance of your works, Because of the abundance of all wealth, For wine of Helbon, and white wool." ¹⁹ Vedan and Javan go about with your remnants, They have given shining iron, cassia, and cane, In your merchandise it has been." ²⁰ Dedan [is] your merchant, For clothes of freedom for riding." ²¹ Arabia, and all princes of Kedar, They [are] the traders of your hand, For lambs, and rams, and he-goats, In these your merchants." ²² Merchants of Sheba and Raamah--they [are] your merchants, For the chief of all spices, And for every precious stone, and gold, They have given out your remnants." ²³ Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, merchants of Sheba, Asshur--Chilmad--[are] your merchants, ²⁴ They [are] your merchants for perfect things, For wrappings of blue, and embroidery, And for treasuries of rich apparel, With cords bound and girded, for your merchandise, ²⁵ Ships of Tarshish [are] your double walls of your merchandise, And you are filled and honored greatly, In the heart of the seas." ²⁶ Into great waters have they brought you, Those rowing you, The east wind has broken you in the heart of the seas." ²⁷ Your wealth and your remnants, Your merchandise, your mariners, And your pilots, strengtheners of your breach, And the traders of your merchandise, And all your men of war, who [are] in you, And in all your assembly that [is] in your midst, Fall into the heart of the seas in the day of your fall, ²⁸ At the voice of the cry of your pilots shake do the suburbs. ²⁹ And come down from their ships have all handling an oar, Mariners, all the pilots of the sea, on the land they stand, ³⁰ And have sounded for you with their voice, And cry bitterly, and cause dust to go up on their heads, In ashes they do roll themselves." ³¹ And they have made for you baldness, And they have girded on sackcloth, And they have wept for you, In bitterness of soul--a bitter mourning." ³² And lifted up for you have their sons a lamentation, And they have lamented over you, who [is] as Tyre? As the cut-off one in the midst of the sea? ³³ With the outgoing of your remnants from the seas, You have filled many peoples, With the abundance of your riches, and your merchandise, You have made rich things of earth." ³⁴ The time of [your] being broken by the seas in the depths of the waters, Your merchandise and all your assembly in your midst have fallen." ³⁵ All inhabitants of the isles have been astonished at you, And their kings have been sore afraid, They have been troubled in countenance." ³⁶ Merchants among the peoples have shrieked for you, Wastes you have been, and you are not--to the eon!'"

⁴ By your wisdom and by your understanding You have made for you wealth, And make gold and silver in your treasuries." ⁵ By the abundance of your wisdom, Through your merchandise, You have multiplied your wealth, And high is your heart through your wealth."

¹⁶ By the abundance of your merchandise They have filled your midst with violence, And you do sin, And I thrust you from the mount of Elohim, And I destroy you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the stones of fire."

³ for, as a result of the wine of the fury of her prostitution have all the nations fallen. And the kings of the earth commit prostitution with her,and the merchants of the earth are rich as a result of her power to indulge."

¹² a cargo of gold, and of silver, and of precious stones, and of pearls; and of cambric, and of purple, and of silk, and of scarlet; including also every kind of citron wood; and every ivory utensil, and every utensil of most valuable wood and of copper and of iron and of marble;" ¹³ including also cinnamon, and ginger, and incenses, and attar, and frankincense; and wine, and oil, and flour, and grain; and beasts, and sheep, and made up of horses, and of coaches, and of bodies, including also human souls." ¹⁴ And the fruition of your yearning soul passed away from you, and all that is sumptuous and splendid perished from you, and they will be finding them no longer under any circumstances.'" ¹⁵ The merchants of these things, who are rich through her, will be standing afar off because of the fear of her torment, lamenting and mourning,

¹⁹ And they cast soil on their heads, and cried, lamenting and mourning, saying, 'Woe! Woe! the great city, by which all who have ships on the sea are rich as a result of its preciousness, for in one hour it was desolated!'"
