⁹ there shall be no new god in you; neither shall you worship a strange god.

³ You shall have no other gods beside Me. ⁴ You shall not make for yourself an idol, nor likeness of anything, whatever things are in the heaven above, and whatever are in the earth beneath, and whatever are in the waters under the earth. ⁵ You shall not bow down to them, nor serve them; for I am the Lord your God, a jealous God, recompensing the sins of the fathers upon the children, to the third and fourth generation to them that hate Me,

¹⁴ Go not after other gods, of the gods of the nations round about you,

¹² the Lord alone led them, there was no strange god with them.

²⁰ If we have forgotten the name of our God, and if we have spread out our hands to a strange god; shall not God search these things out?

¹² I have declared, and have saved; I have reproached, and there was no strange god among you; you are My witnesses, and I am the Lord God,

¹¹ Judah has been forsaken, and an abomination has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has profaned the holy things of the Lord, which He delighted in, and has gone after other gods.

⁵ For even if they are being called "gods" whether in heaven or on earth (just as there are many gods and many lords), ⁶ yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.
