² The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers gathered themselves together, against the Lord, and against His Christ;

⁷ and in the morning you shall see the glory of the Lord, inasmuch as He hears your murmuring against God; and who are we, that you continue to murmur against us?

¹⁰ Now therefore understand, you kings: be instructed, all you that judge the earth.

⁷ You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness beyond Your companions.

⁴ For behold, the kings of the earth were assembled, they came together.

¹⁸ Remember this Your creation; an enemy has reproached the Lord, and a foolish people have provoked Your name.

²³ Forget not the voice of Your enemies; let the pride of them that hate You continually ascend before You.

²⁰ I have found David My servant; I have anointed him by My holy mercy.

⁵ The Lord at Your right hand has dashed in pieces kings in the day of His wrath.

³⁰ There is no wisdom, there is no courage, there is no counsel against the ungodly.

¹ The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me; He has sent Me to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind;

¹⁶ Then Herod, seeing that he had been deceived by the wise men, was greatly enraged; and he sent and executed all the boys in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had ascertained from the wise men.

³ Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were assembled into the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

⁵⁹ Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the Sanhedrin were seeking false witnesses against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death,

¹ When morning came, all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against Jesus, so as to put Him to death.

³¹ On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, "Get out and go from here, for Herod wants to kill You."

¹¹ Then Herod, with his men of war, having treated Him with contempt, and having mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate. ¹² That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been at enmity with each other.

⁴¹ He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which is translated, the Christ).

³⁴ For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.

²³ He who hates Me hates My Father also.

⁵ Now it came to pass, on the next day, that their rulers, elders, and scribes were gathered together at Jerusalem, ⁶ as well as Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and as many as were of high priestly descent. ⁷ And they brought them forward and began to inquire, "By what power or by what name have you done this?" ⁸ Then Peter, having been filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders of Israel:

⁴ And falling on the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?"

³⁸ Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all those who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.

¹ Now at that time Herod the king put forth his hands to harm some from the church. ² And he put to death James the brother of John with the sword. ³ And seeing that it was pleasing to the Jews, he proceeded further to arrest Peter also (and then were the Days of Unleavened Bread), ⁴ whom also seizing, he put him in prison, and handed him over to four four-man squads of soldiers to guard him, planning after the Passover to bring him again to the people. ⁵ Therefore Peter was kept in prison; but earnest prayer was being made by the church to God on behalf of him. ⁶ But when Herod was about to bring him forth, on that night Peter was sleeping, between two soldiers, having been bound with two chains; and guards before the door were keeping the prison.

⁹ You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your companions."

¹² And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings who not yet have received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings for one hour with the Beast. ¹³ These have one purpose, and they will give their power and authority to the Beast. ¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, and elect, and faithful."
