²⁵ that there shall enter through the gates of this city kings and princes sitting on the throne of David, and riding on their chariots and horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the dwellers in Jerusalem. And this city shall be inhabited forever.

¹⁴ And this day shall be to you a memorial, and you shall keep it a feast to the Lord through all your generations; you shall keep it a feast for a perpetual ordinance.

¹⁶ For he shall not multiply to himself horses, and he shall by no means turn the people back to Egypt, lest he should multiply to himself horses; for the Lord said, You shall not return that way again.

¹¹ And he said, This shall be the manner of the king that shall rule over you: he shall take your sons, and put them in his chariots, and among his horsemen, and running before his chariots,

¹⁶ And his house shall be made sure, and his kingdom forever before Me, and his throne shall be established forever.

⁴ And David took a thousand of his chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David hamstrung all his chariot horses, but he reserved for himself a hundred chariots.

⁴ And if you will walk before Me as David your father walked, in holiness of heart and uprightness, and so as to do according to all that I commanded him, and shall keep My ordinances and My commandments, ⁵ then will I establish the throne of your kingdom in Israel forever, as I spoke to David your father, saying, There shall not fail you a man to rule in Israel.

²⁹ And I will establish his seed forever and ever, and his throne as the days of heaven. ³⁰ If his children should forsake My law, and walk not in My judgments; ³¹ if they should profane My ordinances, and not keep My commandments; ³² I will visit their transgressions with a rod, and their sins with scourges. ³³ But My mercy I will not utterly remove from him, nor wrong My truth. ³⁴ Neither will I by any means profane My covenant; and I will not make void the things that proceed out of My lips. ³⁵ Once have I sworn by My holiness, that I will not lie to David. ³⁶ His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me; ³⁷ and as the moon that is established forever, and as the faithful witness in heaven. Pause.

¹¹ The Lord has sworn in truth to David, and He will not annul it, saying, Of the fruit of your body will I set a king upon your throne. ¹² If your children will keep My covenant, and these My testimonies which I shall teach them, their children also shall sit upon your throne forever. ¹³ For the Lord has elected Zion, He has chosen her for a habitation for Himself, saying, ¹⁴ This is My rest forever: here will I dwell; for I have chosen it.

⁷ His government shall be great, and of His peace there is no end; it shall be upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to establish it, and to support it with judgment and with righteousness, from this time forward and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts shall perform this.

¹³ Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will fill the inhabitants of this land, and their kings, the sons of David that sit upon their throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and Judah and all the dwellers in Jerusalem, with strong drink.

⁴ For if you will indeed perform this word, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, and riding on chariots and horses; they, their servants, and their people.

³⁰ Write this man down as childless; for by no means shall his seed ever grow up to sit on the throne of David, or be as a prince yet in Judah.
