⁵ And arriving in Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. They also had John as their assistant.

¹³ And Moses rose up and Joshua his attendant, and they went up into the mount of God.

³ And Elijah feared, and rose, and departed for his life. And he came to Beersheba, to the land of Judah, and he left his servant there.

²¹ And he returned from following him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slaughtered them, and boiled them with the instruments of the oxen, and gave to the people, and they ate. And he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered to him.

¹¹ And Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord, that we may inquire of the Lord by him? And one of the servants of the king of Israel answered and said, There is here Elisha son of Shaphat, who poured water on the hands of Elijah.

²⁶ Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, shall be your servant.

²⁰ And immediately in the synagogues he was proclaiming Christ, that He is the Son of God.

¹² And realizing this, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where a considerable number were gathered together and were praying.

²⁵ And Barnabas and Saul returned to Jerusalem, having fulfilled their ministry, taking along with them John also, whose surname was Mark.

¹⁴ But they went from Perga, and arrived in Antioch of Pisidia, and entering into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, they sat down.

⁴⁶ But Paul and Barnabas, speaking boldly said, "It was necessary for the word of God to be spoken to you first; but since you thrust it away, and judge yourselves not worthy of eternal life; behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

¹ And it came to pass in Iconium that they went in together into the synagogue of the Jews, and they spoke in a way so that a great multitude, both of the Jews and of the Greeks, believed.

³⁷ But Barnabas desired to take along with them John called Mark.

¹ Now traveling through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews. ² And according to Paul's custom, he went in to them, and for three Sabbaths he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, ³ interpreting and pointing out that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer, and to arise from the dead, and saying that "This is the Christ, Jesus, whom I proclaim to you."

¹⁷ Therefore he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and with the Gentile worshippers, and in the marketplace daily with those coming by.

⁴ And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.

⁸ And he entered into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, debating and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

¹⁰ Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, with Mark the cousin of Barnabas (about whom you received instructions: if he comes to you, receive him), ¹¹ Luke alone is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for ministry.
