35 and said to them: Men of Israel, consider well with yourselves what you are about to do to these men. 36 For before these days Theudas arose, declaring himself to be some great one; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves; and he was slain; and all, as many as believed him, were scattered and brought to naught. 37 After this man, Judas the Galilean arose, in the days of the enrollment, and drew over many people after him; and he was destroyed, and all, as many as believed him, were scattered. 38 And now I say to you, keep away from these men, and let them alone; for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to an end; 39 but if it is of God, you can not bring it to an end: and take heed, lest you be found fighting also against God.
