⁴ I said unto the arrogant, Deal not arrogantly;
And to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

² How long will ye judge unjustly,
And respect the persons of the wicked? [Selah ³ Judge the poor and fatherless:
Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. ⁴ Rescue the poor and needy:
Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked. ⁵ They know not, neither do they understand;
They walk to and fro in darkness:
All the foundations of the earth are shaken. ⁶ I said, Ye are gods,
And all of you sons of the Most High. ⁷ Nevertheless ye shall die like men,
And fall like one of the princes. ⁸ Arise, O God, judge the earth;
For thou shalt inherit all the nations.

¹⁷ For thou art the glory of their strength;
And in thy favor our horn shall be exalted.

⁸ Consider, ye brutish among the people;
And ye fools, when will ye be wise?

¹⁴ And he hath lifted up the horn of his people,
The praise of all his saints;
Even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him.
Praise ye Jehovah.

²² How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity?
And scoffers delight them in scoffing,
And fools hate knowledge?

⁵ O ye simple, understand prudence;
And, ye fools, be of an understanding heart.

⁶ Leave off, ye simple ones, and live;
And walk in the way of understanding.

²⁰ and concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other [horn] which came up, and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake great things, whose look was more stout than its fellows. ²¹ I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

²¹ Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head; but these are come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the nations, which lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.
