¹⁴ And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offense to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

⁶ On the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

¹ God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. ² Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the middle of the sea;

²² Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.
