⁵ Thus said God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which comes out of it; he that gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

¹⁰ And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. ¹¹ And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth: and it was so. ¹² And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

²⁴ And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. ²⁵ And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creeps on the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

⁷ And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

¹⁰ In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

³ All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

⁴ The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty has given me life.

¹⁴ If he set his heart on man, if he gather to himself his spirit and his breath;

¹ The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. ² For he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the floods.

⁶ By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

²⁵ Of old have you laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of your hands. ²⁶ They shall perish, but you shall endure: yes, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a clothing shall you change them, and they shall be changed:

² Who cover yourself with light as with a garment: who stretch out the heavens like a curtain: ³ Who lays the beams of his chambers in the waters: who makes the clouds his chariot: who walks on the wings of the wind: ⁴ Who makes his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire: ⁵ Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. ⁶ You covered it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains. ⁷ At your rebuke they fled; at the voice of your thunder they hurried away. ⁸ They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys to the place which you have founded for them. ⁹ You have set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth. ¹⁰ He sends the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills. ¹¹ They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst. ¹² By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches. ¹³ He waters the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your works. ¹⁴ He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth; ¹⁵ And wine that makes glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengthens man's heart. ¹⁶ The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted; ¹⁷ Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house. ¹⁸ The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies. ¹⁹ He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knows his going down. ²⁰ You make darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth. ²¹ The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God. ²² The sun rises, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens. ²³ Man goes forth to his work and to his labor until the evening. ²⁴ O LORD, how manifold are your works! in wisdom have you made them all: the earth is full of your riches. ²⁵ So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts. ²⁶ There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom you have made to play therein. ²⁷ These wait all on you; that you may give them their meat in due season. ²⁸ That you give them they gather: you open your hand, they are filled with good. ²⁹ You hide your face, they are troubled: you take away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. ³⁰ You send forth your spirit, they are created: and you renew the face of the earth. ³¹ The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works. ³² He looks on the earth, and it trembles: he touches the hills, and they smoke. ³³ I will sing to the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. ³⁴ My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD. ³⁵ Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless you the LORD, O my soul. Praise you the LORD.

⁶ To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endures for ever.

¹² Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

²² It is he that sits on the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in:

²⁸ Have you not known? have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

²⁴ Thus said the LORD, your redeemer, and he that formed you from the womb, I am the LORD that makes all things; that stretches forth the heavens alone; that spreads abroad the earth by myself;

¹² I have made the earth, and created man on it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

¹⁸ For thus said the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he has established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

¹³ My hand also has laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand has spanned the heavens: when I call to them, they stand up together.

¹² He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

¹⁷ Ah Lord GOD! behold, you have made the heaven and the earth by your great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for you:

²³ But have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you, and your lords, your wives, and your concubines, have drunk wine in them; and you have praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways, have you not glorified:

⁶ It is he that builds his stories in the heaven, and has founded his troop in the earth; he that calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.

¹ The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, said the LORD, which stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.

²⁵ Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he gives to all life, and breath, and all things;

² Has in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

¹⁰ And, You, Lord, in the beginning have laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of your hands: ¹¹ They shall perish; but you remain; and they all shall wax old as does a garment; ¹² And as a clothing shall you fold them up, and they shall be changed: but you are the same, and your years shall not fail.
