² Then the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was kindled. His anger was kindled against Job because he justified himself rather than God.

²¹ Uz his first born, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram,

³ Is it good to thee that thou should oppress, that thou should despise the work of thy hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked?

² As God lives, who has taken away my right, and the Almighty, who has vexed my soul.

⁵ Far be it from me that I should justify you. Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me.

²¹ Thou have turned to be cruel to me. With the might of thy hand thou persecute me.

⁵ For Job has said, I am righteous, and God has taken away my right. ⁶ Notwithstanding my right I am accounted a liar. My wound is incurable, though I am without transgression.

¹⁷ Behold thou him who hates lawlessness, and who destroys evil men, who is forever righteousness, ¹⁸ him who says to a king, Thou are vile, to ranking men, Ye are wicked,

² What is this thou think in judgment? Who are thou that thou said, I am righteousness before the Lord?

⁸ Will thou even annul my judgment? Will thou condemn me, that thou may be justified?

⁹ For the zeal of thy house has eaten me up, and the reproaches of those who reproach thee have fallen upon me.

⁵ And having looked around on them with anger, being grieved at the callousness of their heart, he says to the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as the other.

²⁹ But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

²⁶ Be ye angry, and sin not. Let not the sun go down upon your wrath,
