³ Simon Peter says to them: I go a fishing. They say to him: We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into the ship; and in that night they caught nothing.

¹⁸ And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. ¹⁹ And he says to them: Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men. ²⁰ And they, immediately leaving the nets, followed him.

⁵ And Simon answering said to him: Master, we toiled all night and took nothing; but at thy word I will let down the net.

¹⁰ and likewise also James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon: Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. ¹¹ And having brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

³ and because he was of the same trade, he abode with them, and labored; for by their occupation they were tentmakers.

³⁴ Ye yourselves know, that these hands ministered to my necessities, and to those who were with me.

⁷ So then neither is he that plants anything, nor he that waters; but God that gives the increase.

⁶ Or have only I and Barnabas not power to forbear working?

⁹ For ye remember, brethren, our labor and toil; night and day working, in order not to burden any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.

⁷ For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us; that we were not disorderly among you, ⁸ nor did we eat bread of any one for naught, but with labor and toil, working night and day that we might not be burdensome to any of you; ⁹ not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an example to you, that ye should follow us.
