¹⁰ and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.

²¹ And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus; for he shall save his people from their sins.

⁷ But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his immersion, he said to them: Brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

²⁵ And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and this man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel; and the Holy Spirit was upon him,

⁷ He said therefore to the multitudes that came out to be immersed by him: Brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

¹¹ who also said: Men of Galilee, why stand ye looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye saw him going into heaven.

²⁴ whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death; because it was not possible that he should be held by it.

¹⁵ But the Author of life ye killed; whom God raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses.

²¹ whom the heavens, indeed, must receive, until the times of the restoration of all things, which God spoke of by the mouth of all his holy prophets from the beginning.

¹⁰ be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by him does this man stand here before you whole.

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew, hanging him on a tree. ³¹ Him, as a prince and a Savior, did God exalt to his right hand, to give repentance to Israel, and remission of sins.

⁴⁰ Him God raised on the third day, and showed him openly; ⁴¹ not to all the people, but to witnesses before appointed by God, to us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

³¹ Because he fixed a day, in which he will judge the world in righteousness, by the man whom he appointed, having given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.

⁴ who was declared to be the Son of God with power according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord;

⁷ to those who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life;

²⁵ who was delivered up for our offenses, and was raised for our justification.

⁹ Much more therefore, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from the wrath through him. ¹⁰ For if, being enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his son; much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life;

²³ And not only so, but ourselves also, though we have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. ²⁴ For we were saved in hope; but hope that is seen is not hope; for what a man sees, why does he also hope for? ²⁵ But if we hope for that we see not, we with patience wait for it.

³⁴ who is he that condemns? Christ is he that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.

⁷ so that ye are behind in no gift, waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ;

⁴ and that he was buried, and that he has risen on the third day according to the Scriptures; ⁵ and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve; ⁶ after that, he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep. ⁷ After that, he appeared to James; then to all the apostles. ⁸ And last of all he appeared to me also, as the one born out of due time. ⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. ¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am; and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. ¹¹ Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed. ¹² Now if Christ is preached that he has risen from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? ¹³ But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then neither has Christ risen; ¹⁴ and if Christ has not risen, then is our preaching vain, and vain also your faith. ¹⁵ And we are also found false witnesses of God; because we testified of God, that he raised up Christ; whom he raised not, if it be so that the dead rise not. ¹⁶ For if the dead rise not, neither has Christ risen; ¹⁷ and if Christ has not risen, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. ¹⁸ Then also they who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. ¹⁹ If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. ²⁰ But now Christ has risen from the dead, the first-fruits of those who sleep. ²¹ For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

¹³ Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; because it is written: Cursed is every one that is hanged on a tree;

²⁰ For our citizenship is in heaven; from whence we also look for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;

¹⁸ And he is the head of the body, the church; who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead; that he may become in all things pre-eminent.

⁷ so that ye became an example to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

⁷ But we were gentle among you, as a nurse cherishes her children;

¹⁶ hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always; and the wrath came upon them to the utmost.

¹⁶ Because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ will first rise. ¹⁷ Then we the living, who remain, will be caught up together with them in clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

⁹ because God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ;

¹ I CHARGE thee before God, and Christ Jesus who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom,

¹³ looking for the blissful hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;

²⁸ so also the Christ, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, will to those who look for him appear a second time without sin, unto salvation.

²⁷ but a certain fearful looking for of judgment, and a fiery indignation, which will devour the adversaries.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy begot us again unto a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead;

²¹ who through him believe on God, who raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope are on God.

²¹ For to this ye were called; because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow his steps;

¹⁸ Because Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit;

¹² looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens being on fire will be dissolved, and the elements will melt with burning heat?

¹⁴ Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for these things, be diligent that ye may be found without spot and blameless in his sight, in peace.

⁷ Behold, he comes amidst the clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

¹⁸ and the living one; and I became dead, and behold I am alive forevermore; and I have the keys of death and of the underworld.
