Sirach 28:10

LXX_WH⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁰ κατὰ τὴν ὕλην τοῦ πυρὸς οὕτως ἐκκαυθήσεται καὶ κατὰ τὴν στερέωσιν τῆς μάχης ἐκκαυθήσεται κατὰ τὴν ἰσχὺν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ὁ θυμὸς αὐτοῦ ἔσται καὶ κατὰ τὸν πλοῦτον ἀνυψώσει ὀργὴν αὐτοῦ

Wycliffe⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁰ Absteyne thee fro strijf, and thou schalt abregge synnes.

Geneva⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁰ As the matter of the fire is, so it burneth, & mans anger is according to his power: and according to his riches his anger increaseth, & the more vehement the anger is, the more is he inflamed.

Bishops⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁰ The more wood there is, the more vehement is the fire, and the mightier that men be, the greater is the wrath: according to his riches his anger increaseth, and the longer the stryfe endureth, the more it burneth.
