But at last came two false witnesses and said, ⁶¹ This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days. ⁶² And the high priest stood up and said to Him, Dost thou make no answer? what do these men testify against thee? but Jesus made no reply. ⁶³ Then the high priest said to Him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us, if thou be the Christ, the Son of God. ⁶⁴ Jesus saith unto him, It is as thou hast said: and I tell you, hereafter ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven. ⁶⁵ Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy, what need have we more of witnesses? now ye have heard his blasphemy, what think ye?
