Luke 6:1-5

Worsley(i) 1 And it came to pass on the second-sabbath after the first, that as He was passing through the corn-fields, his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and rubbed them in their hands and ate them. 2 And some of the pharisees said to them, Why do ye do that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath-days? 3 And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read what David did, when he himself was hungry and those that were with him? how he went into the house of God, 4 and did take and eat the shew-bread, and gave also to his attendants, which it is not lawful for any to eat but the priests. 5 And He said unto them, the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath.
