2 Timothy 3

Wesley(i) 1 But know this, that in the last days grievous times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, arrogant, proud, evil-speakers, 3 disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, Without natural affection, covenant-breakers, slanderers, intemperate, fierce, despisers of good men, 4 Traitors, rash, puffed up, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness but denying the power of it. 6 From these also turn away. For of these are they who creep into houses, and captivate silly women laden with sins, led away by various desires, 7 Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also withstand the truth: men of corrupt minds, void of judgment as to the faith. 9 But they shall proceed no farther; for their folly shall be manifest to all men, as theirs also was. 10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, intention, faith, long-suffering, love, patience, 11 Persecutions, afflictions, which befel me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured; but the Lord delivered me out of all. 12 Yea and all that are resolved to live godly in Christ Jesus, shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned, and been fully assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them, 15 And that from an infant thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, thro' faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is inspired of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
