1 Kings 17 And Elijah the Tishbite , who was of the inhabitants of Gilead , said to Ahab , As the LORD God of Israel liveth , before whom I stand , there shall not be dew nor rain these years , but according to my word.

4 H8354 [H8799] And it shall be, that thou shalt drink H5158 of the brook H6680 [H8765] ; and I have commanded H6158 the ravens H3557 [H8771] to feed thee there.

5 H3212 [H8799] So he went H6213 [H8799] and did H1697 according to the word H3068 of the LORD H3212 [H8799] : for he went H3427 [H8799] and dwelt H5158 by the brook H3747 Cherith H6440 , that is before H3383 Jordan.

6 H6158 And the ravens H935 [H8688] brought H3899 him bread H1320 and flesh H1242 in the morning H3899 , and bread H1320 and flesh H6153 in the evening H8354 [H8799] ; and he drank H5158 of the brook.

7 H7093 And it came to pass after H3117 a while H5158 , that the brook H3001 [H8799] dried up H1653 , because there had been no rain H776 in the land.

8 H1697 And the word H3068 of the LORD H559 [H8800] came to him, saying,

9 H6965 [H8798] Arise H3212 [H8798] , go H6886 to Zarephath H6721 , which belongeth to Zidon H3427 [H8804] , and dwell H6680 [H8765] there: behold, I have commanded H490 a widow H802 woman H3557 [H8771] there to sustain thee.

10 H6965 [H8799] So he arose H3212 [H8799] and went H6886 to Zarephath H935 [H8799] . And when he came H6607 to the gate H5892 of the city H490 , behold, the widow H802 woman H7197 [H8781] was there gathering H6086 sticks H7121 [H8799] : and he called H559 [H8799] to her, and said H3947 [H8798] , Bring H4592 me, I pray thee, a little H4325 water H3627 in a vessel H8354 [H8799] , that I may drink.

11 H3212 [H8799] And as she was going H3947 [H8800] to bring H7121 [H8799] it, he called H559 [H8799] to her, and said H3947 [H8798] , Bring H6595 me, I pray thee, a morsel H3899 of bread H3027 in thy hand.

12 H559 [H8799] And she said H3068 , As the LORD H430 thy God H2416 liveth H3426 , I have H4580 not a cake H4393 H3709 , but an handful H7058 of meal H3537 in a barrel H4592 , and a little H8081 oil H6835 in a cruse H7197 [H8781] : and, behold, I am gathering H8147 two H6086 sticks H935 [H8804] , that I may go in H6213 [H8804] and prepare H1121 it for me and my son H398 [H8804] , that we may eat H4191 [H8804] it, and die.

13 H452 And Elijah H559 [H8799] said H3372 [H8799] to her, Fear H935 [H8798] not; go H6213 [H8798] and do H1697 as thou hast said H6213 [H8798] : but make H8033 me of it H6996 a little H5692 cake H7223 first H3318 [H8689] , and bring H314 it to me, and afterward H6213 [H8799] make H1121 for thee and for thy son.

14 H559 [H8804] For thus saith H3068 the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H3537 , The barrel H7058 of meal H3615 [H8799] shall not be used up H6835 , neither shall the cruse H8081 of oil H2637 [H8799] fail H3117 , until the day H3068 that the LORD H5414 [H8800] sendeth H1653 rain H6440 upon H127 the earth.

15 H3212 [H8799] And she went H6213 [H8799] and did H1697 according to the saying H452 of Elijah H1004 : and she, and he, and her house H398 [H8799] , ate H3117 many days.

16 H3537 And the barrel H7058 of meal H3615 [H8804] was not used up H6835 , neither did the cruse H8081 of oil H2638 fail H1697 , according to the word H3068 of the LORD H1696 [H8765] , which he spoke H3027 by H452 Elijah.

17 H310 And it came to pass after H1697 these things H1121 , that the son H802 of the woman H1172 , the mistress H1004 of the house H2470 [H8804] , fell sick H2483 ; and his sickness H3966 was so H2389 grievous H5397 , that there was no breath H3498 [H8738] left in him.

18 H559 [H8799] And she said H452 to Elijah H376 , What have I to do with thee, O thou man H430 of God H935 [H8804] ? art thou come H2142 0 to me to call H5771 my sin H2142 [H8687] to remembrance H4191 [H8687] , and to slay H1121 my son?

19 H559 [H8799] And he said H5414 [H8798] to her, Give H1121 me thy son H3947 [H8799] . And he took H2436 him out of her bosom H5927 [H8686] , and carried him up H5944 into a loft H3427 [H8802] , where he abode H7901 [H8686] , and laid H4296 him upon his own bed.

20 H7121 [H8799] And he cried H3068 to the LORD H559 [H8799] , and said H3068 , O LORD H430 my God H7489 [H8689] , hast thou also brought evil H490 upon the widow H1481 [H8711] with whom I sojourn H4191 [H8687] , by slaying H1121 her son?

21 H4058 [H8709] And he stretched H3206 himself upon the child H7969 three H6471 times H7121 [H8799] , and cried H3068 to the LORD H559 [H8799] , and said H3068 , O LORD H430 my God H3206 , I pray thee, let this child's H5315 soul H7725 0 come H7130 into him H7725 [H8799] again.

22 H3068 And the LORD H8085 [H8799] heard H6963 the voice H452 of Elijah H5315 ; and the soul H3206 of the child H7725 0 came H7130 into him H7725 [H8799] again H2421 [H8799] , and he revived.

23 H452 And Elijah H3947 [H8799] took H3206 the child H3381 [H8686] , and brought him down H5944 from the chamber H1004 into the house H5414 [H8799] , and delivered H517 him to his mother H452 : and Elijah H559 [H8799] said H7200 [H8798] , See H1121 , thy son H2416 liveth.

24 H802 And the woman H559 [H8799] said H452 to Elijah H2088 , Now by this H3045 [H8804] I know H376 that thou art a man H430 of God H1697 , and that the word H3068 of the LORD H6310 in thy mouth H571 is truth.
