16 H8085 Don't listen H2396 to Hezekiah, H559 for thus says H4428 the king H804 of Assyria, H6213 ‘Make H1293 your peace H3318 with me, and come out H376 to me; and each H398 of you eat H1612 from his vine, H376 and each one H8384 from his fig tree, H376 and each one H8354 of you drink H4325 the waters H953 of his own cistern;

18 H2396 Beware lest Hezekiah H5496 persuade H559 you, saying, H3068 "Yahweh H5337 will deliver H376 us." Have any H430 of the gods H1471 of the nations H5337 delivered H776 their lands H3027 from the hand H4428 of the king H804 of Assyria?

19 H430 Where are the gods H2574 of Hamath H774 and Arpad? H430 Where are the gods H5617 of Sepharvaim? H5337 Have they delivered H8111 Samaria H3027 from my hand?

20 H430 Who are they among all the gods H776 of these countries H5337 that have delivered H776 their country H3027 out of my hand, H3068 that Yahweh H5337 should deliver H3389 Jerusalem H3027 out of my hand?'"

21 H2790 But they remained silent, H6030 and said H1697 nothing H4428 in reply, for the king's H4687 commandment H559 was, H1697 "Don't answer him."
