  1 H7992 In the third H2320 month H1121 after the children H3478 of Israel H3318 had gone out H776 of the land H4714 of Egypt, H3117 on that same day H935 they came H4057 into the wilderness H5514 of Sinai.
  2 H5265 When they had departed H7508 from Rephidim, H935 and had come H4057 to the wilderness H5514 of Sinai, H2583 they encamped H4057 in the wilderness; H3478 and there Israel H2583 encamped H2022 before the mountain.
  3 H4872 Moses H5927 went up H430 to God, H3068 and Yahweh H7121 called H2022 to him out of the mountain, H559 saying, H559 "This is what you shall tell H1004 the house H3290 of Jacob, H559 and tell H1121 the children H3478 of Israel:
  4 H7200 ‘You have seen H6213 what I did H4714 to the Egyptians, H5375 and how I bore H5404 you on eagles' H3671 wings, H935 and brought you to myself.
  5 H8085 Now therefore, if you will indeed H8085 obey H6963 my voice, H8104 and keep H1285 my covenant, H5459 then you shall be my own possession H5971 from among all peoples; H776 for all the earth is mine;
  6 H4467 and you shall be to me a kingdom H3548 of priests, H6918 and a holy H1471 nation.' H1697 These are the words H1696 which you shall speak H1121 to the children H3478 of Israel."
  7 H4872 Moses H935 came H7121 and called H2205 for the elders H5971 of the people, H1697 and set before them all these words H3068 which Yahweh H6680 commanded him.
  8 H5971 All the people H6030 answered H3162 together, H559 and said, H3068 "All that Yahweh H559 has spoken H6213 we will do." H4872 Moses H7725 reported H1697 the words H5971 of the people H3068 to Yahweh.
  9 H3068 Yahweh H559 said H4872 to Moses, H935 "Behold, I come H5645 to you in a thick H6051 cloud, H5971 that the people H8085 may hear H1696 when I speak H539 with you, and may also believe H5769 you forever." H4872 Moses H5046 told H1697 the words H5971 of the people H3068 to Yahweh.
  10 H3068 Yahweh H559 said H4872 to Moses, H3212 "Go H5971 to the people, H6942 and sanctify H3117 them today H4279 and tomorrow, H3526 and let them wash H8071 their garments,
  11 H3559 and be ready H7992 against the third H3117 day; H7992 for on the third H3117 day H3068 Yahweh H3381 will come down H5869 in the sight H5971 of all the people H2022 on Mount H5514 Sinai.
  12 H1379 You shall set bounds H5971 to the people H5439 all around, H559 saying, H8104 ‘Be careful H5927 that you don't go up H2022 onto the mountain, H5060 or touch H7097 its border. H5060 Whoever touches H2022 the mountain H4191 shall be surely H4191 put to death.
  13 H3027 No hand H5060 shall touch H5619 him, but he shall surely H5619 be stoned H176 or H3384 shot H3384 through; H929 whether it is animal H176 or H376 man, H2421 he shall not live.' H3104 When the trumpet H4900 sounds long, H5927 they shall come up H2022 to the mountain."
  14 H4872 Moses H3381 went down H2022 from the mountain H5971 to the people, H6942 and sanctified H5971 the people; H3526 and they washed H8071 their clothes.
  15 H559 He said H5971 to the people, H1961 "Be H3559 ready H7969 by the third H3117 day. H5066 Don't have sexual relations H802 with a woman."
  16 H7992 It happened on the third H3117 day, H1242 when it was morning, H6963 that there were thunders H1300 and lightnings, H3515 and a thick H6051 cloud H2022 on the mountain, H6963 and the sound H3966 of an exceedingly H2389 loud H7782 trumpet; H5971 and all the people H4264 who were in the camp H2729 trembled.
  17 H4872 Moses H5971 led the people H3318 out H4264 of the camp H7125 to meet H430 God; H3320 and they stood H8482 at the lower H2022 part of the mountain.
  18 H2022 Mount H5514 Sinai, H6225 all it, smoked, H6440 because H3068 Yahweh H3381 descended H784 on it in fire; H6227 and its smoke H5927 ascended H6227 like the smoke H3536 of a furnace, H2022 and the whole mountain H2729 quaked H3966 greatly.
  19 H6963 When the sound H7782 of the trumpet H6963 grew H1980 louder H3966 and H2390 louder, H4872 Moses H1696 spoke, H430 and God H6030 answered H6963 him by a voice.
  20 H3068 Yahweh H3381 came down H2022 on Mount H5514 Sinai, H7218 to the top H2022 of the mountain. H3068 Yahweh H7121 called H4872 Moses H413 to H413 the top H2022 of the mountain, H4872 and Moses H5927 went up.
  21 H3068 Yahweh H559 said H4872 to Moses, H3381 "Go down, H5749 warn H5971 the people, H2040 lest they break through H3068 to Yahweh H7200 to gaze, H7227 and many H5307 of them perish.
  22 H3548 Let the priests H5066 also, who come near H3068 to Yahweh, H6942 sanctify H3068 themselves, lest Yahweh H6555 break forth on them."
  23 H4872 Moses H559 said H3068 to Yahweh, H5971 "The people H3201 can't H5927 come up H2022 to Mount H5514 Sinai, H5749 for you warned H559 us, saying, H1379 ‘Set bounds H2022 around the mountain, H6942 and sanctify it.'"
  24 H3068 Yahweh H559 said H3212 to him, "Go H3381 down H175 and you shall bring Aaron H5927 up H3548 with you, but don't let the priests H5971 and the people H2040 break through H5927 to come up H3068 to Yahweh, H6555 lest he break forth on them."
  25 H4872 So Moses H3381 went down H5971 to the people, H559 and told them.
