Deuteronomy 10:1-8

Thomson(i) 1 At that time the Lord said to me, Hew thee out two tables of stone like the first, and come up to me on the mount; and thou shalt make thee an ark of wood, 2 and thou shalt write on these tables the words which were on the first tables, which thou didst break, and shalt put them in the ark. 3 So when I had made an ark of incorruptible wood, and hewed two tables of stone, like the first, and had gone up the mount with the two tables in my hand; 4 and he had written on these tables, according to the former writing, the ten commandments, which the Lord spoke to you at the mount, out of the midst of the fire; and the Lord had given them to me, 5 and I had turned, and come down from the mount, and had put these tables in the ark which I had made, and they were there as the Lord commanded me, 6 then the children of Israel removed out of Beroth, the country belonging to the children of Jakin, into Misidai, the country where Aaron died, and where he was buried, and Eleazar executed the office of priest in his stead. 7 Thence they removed to Gadgad, and from Gadgad to Etabatha, a land abounding with streams of water. 8 Now the Lord, having at that time set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord, and to serve, and bless in his name, as they do at this day,
