1 John 2:24-28 As for you, therefore, let that which you have heard from the beginning abide in you. If that which you have heard from the beginning abide in you, then you will abide in the Son, and in the Father.

If that which you have heard from the beginning abide in you, then you will abide in the Son, and in the Father. ²⁵ And this is the promise which he hath promised us, even the life which is everlasting. ²⁶ These things I have written to you with a view to them who are seducing you. ²⁷ As for you, the unction which you have received from him abideth in you, and you have no need that any one should teach you. As then this unction itself teacheth you concerning all, and is true, and is not a falsity; abide ye in him as it hath taught you. ²⁸ And now, children, abide in him, that when he shall appear we may have confidence, and not be made ashamed by him at his coming.
