Revelation 21:1-22:21

RKJNT(i) 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice from the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall live among them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, or sorrow, or crying, or pain: for the former things have passed away. 5 And he who sits upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me, Write: for these words are faithful and true. 6 And he said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to him who is thirsty, without cost, from the spring of the water of life. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the cowardly, and unbelieving, and the vile, and murderers, and the sexually immoral, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur: which is the second death. 9 And there came to me one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues, and spoke to me, saying, Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb. 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 Having the glory of God: and her radiance was like a stone most precious, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great and high wall, and twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. 13 On the east were three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he who spoke to me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, and its gates, and its wall. 16 And the city was laid out in a square, its length equal to its breadth: and he measured the city with the rod, twelve thousand stadia. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. 17 And he measured its wall, a hundred and forty-four cubits, according to man's measurement, which the angel was using. 18 And the wall was made of jasper: and the city of pure gold, like clear glass. 19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; 20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each gate made of a single pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. 22 And I saw no temple in it: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 And the city had no need of the sun, or the moon, to shine upon it: for the glory of God is its light, and the Lamb its lamp. 24 And the nations shall walk by its light: and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory into it. 25 And its gates shall never be shut by day: and there shall be no night there. 26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. 27 But nothing impure shall enter into it, nor shall any man who commits shameful acts, or who lies: but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life. 22 1 And he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2 Down the middle of the street of the city. And on either side of the river was the tree of life, which bore twelve kinds of fruits, and yielded its fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall no longer be any curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be upon their foreheads. 5 And there shall be no night there; and they shall need no lamp, nor light from the sun; for the Lord God shall give them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. 6 And he said to me, These words are faithful and true: and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show to his servants the things which must shortly come to pass. 7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book. 8 I, John, heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. 9 Then he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book: worship God. 10 And he said to me, Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. 11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he who is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he who is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he who is holy, let him be holy still. 12 Behold, I am coming quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according to what he has done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. 14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 Outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and the sexually immoral, and murderers, and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. 16 I, Jesus, have sent my angel to you to testify of these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him who hears say, Come. And let him who is thirsty come. And whoever will, let him take the water of life without cost. 18 For I testify to every man who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add to these things, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part in the tree of life, and in the holy city, which are described in this book. 20 He who testifies to these things says, Surely I am coming quickly. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all. Amen.
