Psalms 86

Matthew(i) 1 A prayer of Dauyd. Bow downe thine eare, O Lord and heare me, for I am comfortles and poore. 2 O kepe my soule, for I am holy my God, helpe thy seruante that putteth his trust in the. 3 Be merciful vnto me, O Lord, for I cal dayly vpon the. 4 Comfort the soule of thy seruaunt, for vnto the, O Lord, do I lyft vp my soule. 5 For thou Lorde arte good and gracyous, and of greate mercye vnto all them that call vpon the. 6 Geue eare Lord vnto my praier, and ponder my humble desyre. 7 In the tyme of my trouble I cal vpon the, for thou hearest me. 8 Amonge the Goddes ther is none like vnto the, O Lorde, there is not one that can do as thou doest. 9 All nacyons whom thou hast made, shall come and worship before the, O Lorde, and shal gloryfy thy name. 10 For thou art great, thou dost wonderous thinges, thou art God alone. 11 Leade me in thy way, O Lord, that I may walke in thy trueth: O let my herte delyte in fearyng thy name. 12 I thanke the. O Lorde my God, and will prayse thy name for euer. 13 For great is thy mercy towarde me, thou hast delyuered my soule from the nether most hell. 14 O God the proude are rysen agaynst me, and the congregacyon of the myghtye seketh after my soule, and sette not the before theyr eyes. 15 But thou, O Lord God, art ful of compassion, and mercy, long suffring, great in goodnes and truth. 16 O turne the then vnto me, haue mercy vpon me: geue thy strength vnto thy seruante, and helpe the sonne of thyne handmayde. 17 Shew some token vpon me for good, that they which hate me, maye se it, and be ashamed: because thou Lord hast helped me, and comforted me.
