Numbers 9 And the Lorde spake vnto Moses in the wildernesse of Sinai, in the fyrste moneth of the seconde yere after they: were come out of the lande of Egypt sayinge:

Matthew⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ And the Lorde spake vnto Moses in the wildernesse of Sinai, in the fyrste moneth of the seconde yere after they: were come out of the lande of Egypt sayinge: ² let the chyldren of Israell offre Passeouer in hys season: ³ euen the .xiiij. daye of thys moneth at euen, they shall kepe it in hys season, accordynge to all the ordinaunces and maners therof. ⁴ And Moses bad the chyldren of Israell that they shoulde offer Passeouer, ⁵ and they offered Passeouer the .xiiij. daye of the fyrst moneth at euen in the wyldernesse of Sinai: and dyd accordynge to all that the Lorde commaunded Moses. ⁶ And it chaunced that certayne men whych were defyled wt a dead corse that they might not offer Passeouer the same daye, came before Moses and Aaron the same tyme, ⁷ and sayde: We are defyled vpon a dead corsse, wherfore are we kepte backe that we maye not offer an offerynge vnto the Lorde in the due season, amonge the chyldren of Israell? ⁸ And Moses sayde vnto them: tary, that I may here what the Lorde wylle commaunde you. ⁹ And the Lorde spake vnto Moses saying: ¹⁰ speake vnto the chyldren of Israell and saye. If any man amonge you or youre children after you be vncleane by the reason of a corse or is in the waye ferre of, then lett hym offer Passeouer vnto the Lorde: ¹¹ the .xiiij. day of the seconde moneth at euen, and eate it wyth swete bread and soure herbes, ¹² & let them leaue none of it vnto the mornynge nor breake any boone of it. And accordynge to all the ordinaunce of the Passeouer let them offer it. ¹³ But yf a man be cleane & not let in a iourney, and yet was neglygent to offer Passeouer the same soule shall perysh from hys people, because he brought not an offerynge vnto the Lorde in his due season: and he shal bere hys synne. ¹⁴ And when a straunger dwelleth amonge you and wyll offer Passeouer vnto the Lord accordynge to the ordinaunce of Passeouer and maner therof shal he offre it. And ye shall haue one lawe both for the straunger & for him that was borne at home in the land. ¹⁵ And the same day that the habitacion was reared vp, a cloude couered it an hye vpon the tabernacle of witnesse: and at euen there was vpon the habitacion, as it were the symilitude of fyre vntyll the mornyng. ¹⁶ And so it was allway, that the cloude couered it by day, and the symylitude of fyre by nyght. ¹⁷ And when the cloude was taken vp from of the tabernacle, then the chyldren of Israell iourneyed: and where the cloud abode there the chyldren of Israell pitched theyr tentes. ¹⁸ At the mouthe of the Lorde the chyldren of Israel iourneyed, and at the mouth of the Lorde they pitched. And as long as the cloude abode vpon the habitacion, they lay styl. ¹⁹ and when the cloude taryed styll vpon the habitacyon longe tyme, the chyldren of Israell wayted vpon the Lord and iourneyed not. ²⁰ If it chaunced that the cloude abode any space of tyme vpon the habitacion, then they kepte their tentes at the mouth of the Lord: and they iourneyed also at the commaundement of the Lord. ²¹ And yf it happened that the cloude was vpon the habitacion from euen vnto mornynge and was taken vp in the mornynge then they iourneyed. Whether it was by daye or by nyght that the cloude was taken vp, they iourneyed. ²² But when the cloude taryed two dayes or a moneth or a long season vpon the habitacion, as longe as it taryed theron, the chyldren of Israell kepte theyr tentes and iourneied not. And as soone as the cloude was taken vp, they iourneied. ²³ At the mouth of the Lord they reastyd, & at the commaundement of the Lord they iourneyed. And thus they kepte the watche of the Lord, at the commaundement of the Lorde by the hande of Moses.
