9 And Moses said unto Joshua, "Choose out men and go fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill and the rod of God in mine hand."
10 And Joshua did as Moses bade him, and fought with the Amalekites. And Moses, Aaron and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
11 And when Moses held up his hand, Israel had the better. And when he let his hand down, Amalek had the better.
12 When Moses' hands were weary, they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat down thereon. And Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side and the other on the other side. And his hands were steady until the sun was down.
13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of his sword.
