Matthew 20 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder , which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

2 G1161 And G4856 when he had agreed [G5660] G3326 with G2040 the labourers G1537 for G1220 a penny G2250 a day G649 , he sent [G5656] G846 them G1519 into G846 his G290 vineyard.

3 G2532 And G1831 he went out [G5631] G4012 about G5154 the third G5610 hour G1492 , and saw [G5627] G243 others G2476 standing [G5761] G692 idle G1722 in G58 the marketplace,

4 G2036 And said [G5627] G2548 unto them G5217 ; Go [G5720] G5210 ye G2532 also G1519 into G290 the vineyard G2532 , and G3739 whatsoever G1437 G5600 is [G5753] G1342 right G1325 I will give [G5692] G5213 you G1161 . And G565 they went their way [G5627] .

5 G3825 Again G1831 he went out [G5631] G4012 about G1623 the sixth G2532 and G1766 ninth G5610 hour G4160 , and did [G5656] G5615 likewise.

6 G1161 And G4012 about G1734 the eleventh G5610 hour G1831 he went out [G5631] G2147 , and found [G5627] G243 others G2476 standing [G5761] G692 idle G2532 , and G3004 saith [G5719] G846 unto them G5101 , Why G2476 stand ye [G5758] G5602 here G3650 all G2250 the day G692 idle?

7 G3004 They say [G5719] G846 unto him G3754 , Because G3762 no man G3409 hath hired [G5668] G2248 us G3004 . He saith [G5719] G846 unto them G5217 , Go [G5720] G5210 ye G2532 also G1519 into G290 the vineyard G2532 ; and G3739 whatsoever G1437 G5600 is [G5753] G1342 right G2983 , that shall ye receive [G5695] .

8 G1161 So G3798 when even G1096 was come [G5637] G2962 , the lord G290 of the vineyard G3004 saith [G5719] G846 unto his G2012 steward G2564 , Call [G5657] G2040 the labourers G2532 , and G591 give [G5628] G846 them G3408 their hire G756 , beginning [G5671] G575 from G2078 the last G2193 unto G4413 the first.

9 G2532 And G2064 when they came [G5631] G4012 that were hired about G1734 the eleventh G5610 hour G2983 , they received [G5627] G303 every man G1220 a penny.

10 G1161 But G4413 when the first G2064 came [G5631] G3543 , they supposed [G5656] G3754 that G2983 they should have received [G5695] G4119 more G2532 ; and G2532 they likewise G2983 received [G5627] G846 every man G303 G1220 a penny.

11 G1161 And G2983 when they had received [G5631] G1111 it, they murmured [G5707] G2596 against G3617 the goodman of the house,

16 G3779 So G2078 the last G2071 shall be [G5704] G4413 first G2532 , and G4413 the first G2078 last G1063 : for G4183 many G1526 be [G5748] G2822 called G1161 , but G3641 few G1588 chosen.

17 G2532 And G2424 Jesus G305 going up [G5723] G1519 to G2414 Jerusalem G3880 took [G5627] G1427 the twelve G3101 disciples G2596 apart G2398 G1722 in G3598 the way G2532 , and G2036 said [G5627] G846 unto them,

18 G2400 Behold [G5628] G305 , we go up [G5719] G1519 to G2414 Jerusalem G2532 ; and G5207 the Son G444 of man G3860 shall be betrayed [G5701] G749 unto the chief priests G2532 and G1122 unto the scribes G2532 , and G2632 they shall condemn [G5692] G846 him G2288 to death,

19 G2532 And G3860 shall deliver [G5692] G846 him G1484 to the Gentiles G1519 to G1702 mock [G5658] G2532 , and G3146 to scourge [G5658] G2532 , and G4717 to crucify [G5658] G2532 him : and G5154 the third G2250 day G450 he shall rise again [G5698] .

She saith [G5719] G846 unto him G2036 , Grant [G5628] G2443 that G3778 these G3450 my G1417 two G5207 sons G2523 may sit [G5661] G1520 , the one G1537 on G4675 thy G1188 right hand G2532 , and G1520 the other G1537 on G2176 the left G1722 , in G4675 thy G932 kingdom.

24 G2532 And G1176 when the ten G191 heard [G5660] G23 it, they were moved with indignation [G5656] G4012 against G1417 the two G80 brethren.

25 G1161 But G2424 Jesus G4341 called [G5666] G846 them G2036 unto him, and said [G5627] G1492 , Ye know [G5758] G3754 that G758 the princes G1484 of the Gentiles G2634 exercise dominion over [G5719] G846 them G2532 , and G3173 they that are great G2715 exercise authority upon [G5719] G846 them.

26 G1161 But G2071 it shall G3756 not G2071 be [G5704] G3779 so G1722 among G5213 you G235 : but G3739 whosoever G1437 G2309 will [G5725] G1096 be [G5635] G3173 great G1722 among G5213 you G2077 , let him be [G5749] G5216 your G1249 minister;

27 G2532 And G3739 whosoever G1437 G2309 will [G5725] G1511 be [G5750] G4413 chief G1722 among G5213 you G2077 , let him be [G5749] G5216 your G1401 servant:

28 G5618 Even as G5207 the Son G444 of man G2064 came [G5627] G3756 not G1247 to be ministered unto [G5683] G235 , but G1247 to minister [G5658] G2532 , and G1325 to give [G5629] G846 his G5590 life G3083 a ransom G473 for G4183 many.

29 G2532 And G846 as they G1607 departed [G5740] G575 from G2410 Jericho G4183 , a great G3793 multitude G190 followed [G5656] G846 him.

30 G2532 And G2400 , behold [G5628] G1417 , two G5185 blind men G2521 sitting [G5740] G3598 by the way G3844 side G191 , when they heard [G5660] G3754 that G2424 Jesus G3855 passed by [G5719] G2896 , cried out [G5656] G3004 , saying [G5723] G1653 , Have mercy [G5657] G2248 on us G2962 , O Lord G5207 , thou Son G1138 of David.

31 G1161 And G3793 the multitude G2008 rebuked [G5656] G846 them G2443 , because G4623 they should hold their peace [G5661] G1161 : but G2896 they cried [G5707] G3185 the more G3004 , saying [G5723] G1653 , Have mercy [G5657] G2248 on us G2962 , O Lord G5207 , thou Son G1138 of David.

32 G2532 And G2424 Jesus G2476 stood still [G5631] G5455 , and called [G5656] G846 them G2532 , and G2036 said [G5627] G5101 , What G2309 will ye [G5719] G4160 that I shall do [G5661] G5213 unto you?

33 G3004 They say [G5719] G846 unto him G2962 , Lord G2443 , that G2257 our G3788 eyes G455 may be opened [G5686] .

34 G1161 So G2424 Jesus G4697 had compassion [G5679] G680 on them, and touched [G5662] G846 their G3788 eyes G2532 : and G2112 immediately G846 their G3788 eyes G308 received sight [G5656] G2532 , and G190 they followed [G5656] G846 him.
