Deuteronomy 6 Now these are the commandments , the statutes , and the judgments , which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:

2 H3372 That thou mightest fear [H8799] H3068 the LORD H430 thy God H8104 , to keep [H8800] H2708 all his statutes H4687 and his commandments H6680 , which I command [H8764] H1121 thee, thou, and thy son H1121 , and thy son's H1121 son H3117 , all the days H2416 of thy life H3117 ; and that thy days H748 may be prolonged [H8686] .

3 H8085 Hear [H8804] H3478 therefore, O Israel H8104 , and observe [H8804] H6213 to do [H8800] H3190 it; that it may be well [H8799] H7235 with thee, and that ye may increase [H8799] H3966 mightily H3068 , as the LORD H430 God H1 of thy fathers H1696 hath promised [H8765] H776 thee, in the land H2100 that floweth [H8802] H2461 with milk H1706 and honey.

4 H8085 Hear [H8798] H3478 , O Israel H3068 : The LORD H430 our God H259 is one H3068 LORD:

5 H157 And thou shalt love [H8804] H3068 the LORD H430 thy God H3824 with all thine heart H5315 , and with all thy soul H3966 , and with all thy might.

6 H1697 And these words H6680 , which I command [H8764] H3117 thee this day H3824 , shall be in thine heart:

7 H8150 And thou shalt teach them diligently [H8765] H1121 unto thy children H1696 , and shalt talk [H8765] H3427 of them when thou sittest [H8800] H1004 in thine house H3212 , and when thou walkest [H8800] H1870 by the way H7901 , and when thou liest down [H8800] H6965 , and when thou risest up [H8800] .

8 H7194 And thou shalt bind [H8804] H226 them for a sign H3027 upon thine hand H2903 , and they shall be as frontlets H5869 between thine eyes.

9 H3789 And thou shalt write [H8804] H4201 them upon the posts H1004 of thy house H8179 , and on thy gates.

10 H3068 And it shall be, when the LORD H430 thy God H935 shall have brought [H8686] H776 thee into the land H7650 which he sware [H8738] H1 unto thy fathers H85 , to Abraham H3327 , to Isaac H3290 , and to Jacob H5414 , to give [H8800] H1419 thee great H2896 and goodly H5892 cities H1129 , which thou buildedst [H8804] not,

11 H1004 And houses H4392 full H2898 of all good H4390 things, which thou filledst [H8765] H953 not, and wells H2672 digged [H8803] H2672 , which thou diggedst [H8804] H3754 not, vineyards H2132 and olive trees H5193 , which thou plantedst [H8804] H398 not; when thou shalt have eaten [H8804] H7646 and be full [H8804] ;

12 H8104 Then beware [H8734] H7911 lest thou forget [H8799] H3068 the LORD H3318 , which brought thee forth [H8689] H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt H1004 , from the house H5650 of bondage.

13 H3372 Thou shalt fear [H8799] H3068 the LORD H430 thy God H5647 , and serve [H8799] H7650 him, and shalt swear [H8735] H8034 by his name.

14 H3212 Ye shall not go [H8799] H310 after H312 other H430 gods H430 , of the gods H5971 of the people H5439 which are round about you;

15 H3068 (For the LORD H430 thy God H7067 is a jealous H410 God H7130 among H639 you) lest the anger H3068 of the LORD H430 thy God H2734 be kindled [H8799] H8045 against thee, and destroy [H8689] H6440 thee from off the face H127 of the earth.

16 H5254 Ye shall not tempt [H8762] H3068 the LORD H430 your God H5254 , as ye tempted [H8765] H4532 him in Massah.

17 H8104 Ye shall diligently [H8800] H8104 keep [H8799] H4687 the commandments H3068 of the LORD H430 your God H5713 , and his testimonies H2706 , and his statutes H6680 , which he hath commanded [H8765] thee.

18 H6213 And thou shalt do [H8804] H3477 that which is right H2896 and good H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H3190 : that it may be well [H8799] H935 with thee, and that thou mayest go in [H8804] H3423 and possess [H8804] H2896 the good H776 land H3068 which the LORD H7650 sware [H8738] H1 unto thy fathers,

19 H1920 To cast out [H8800] H341 all thine enemies [H8802] H6440 from before H3068 thee, as the LORD H1696 hath spoken [H8765] .

20 H1121 And when thy son H7592 asketh [H8799] H4279 thee in time to come H559 , saying [H8800] H5713 , What mean the testimonies H2706 , and the statutes H4941 , and the judgments H3068 , which the LORD H430 our God H6680 hath commanded [H8765] you?

21 H559 Then thou shalt say [H8804] H1121 unto thy son H6547 , We were Pharaoh's H5650 bondmen H4714 in Egypt H3068 ; and the LORD H3318 brought us out [H8686] H4714 of Egypt H2389 with a mighty H3027 hand:

22 H3068 And the LORD H5414 shewed [H8799] H226 signs H4159 and wonders H1419 , great H7451 and sore H4714 , upon Egypt H6547 , upon Pharaoh H1004 , and upon all his household H5869 , before our eyes:

23 H3318 And he brought us out [H8689] H935 from thence, that he might bring us in [H8687] H5414 , to give [H8800] H776 us the land H7650 which he sware [H8738] H1 unto our fathers.

24 H3068 And the LORD H6680 commanded [H8762] H6213 us to do [H8800] H2706 all these statutes H3372 , to fear [H8800] H3068 the LORD H430 our God H2896 , for our good H3117 always H2421 , that he might preserve us alive [H8763] H3117 , as it is at this day.

25 H6666 And it shall be our righteousness H8104 , if we observe [H8799] H6213 to do [H8800] H2063 all these H4687 commandments H6440 before H3068 the LORD H430 our God H6680 , as he hath commanded [H8765] us.
